If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/25/11

Another of my favorite nights of TV is Tuesday. I’m a CBS junkie, so a lot of my Tuesday night is taken up with 3 hours of CBS dramas. There is a lot more on than those shows, though. We are here to tell you what we think you should watch, so read on!

Jenny’s Choice #1

Tonight is the season finale of Top Shot. It has been a great season, and overall, I’ve been thrilled with how the season has gone. In fact, now that Jake is gone, I’ll be ok with whoever wins. I’m rooting for Dustin, because he’s a nice, young, enthusiastic guy—and a Christian Camp Director, to boot!—but whoever wins, I’ll be good. We’ve seen a lot of different weapons and challenges, and I have no doubt tonight will be just as good!

On tonight’s finale, the Final Four marksmen set their sights on the $100,000 prize and the title of Top Shot. In a series of intense challenges, one shooter attempts an unprecedented shot with the AK-47, and contestants are eliminated one by one until there are only two left standing. The final challenge pushes two marksmen to their limits and a new champion is crowned.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/18/11

Did everyone’s week get off to a good start? Mine did, but how could it not with the great television we have on Mondays? Tuesdays are a creature of another sort. It’s a night of pure insanity for my DVR. What about you? What can’t you miss tonight? Read on for suggestions and opinions.

Megan’s Choice #1

Tonight is the season premiere of Flashpoint, and it’s a must see episode. I’m super lucky, because I’ve already seen a bunch of the new season, and they’ve outdone themselves. I love the character development on the show, and for a procedural, it spends lots on time on the relationships our characters have. I adore Jules with Sam, and I hope that they find a way for them to be together without breaking up the team. The show has switched from CBS to ION, so to find the right channel for you, look on their website.

On tonight’s season premiere, “Grounded,” as Parker negotiates with desperate hijackers, the rest of Team One prepares for the worst with a tactical response that will try not to get anyone killed.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/19/11

TGIF! TGIF! TGIF! Did you chant with me? No? Well, that’s awkward. 🙂 I am so excited for the weekend, because it means my husband is home to help wrangle the kids and to help with all this packing. Have I mentioned how much I despise packing? It’s tedious, exhausting, and I wish I had a magic wand to make it go faster. The only thing that’s been getting me through it the past few nights has been watching TV while I pack. Tonight is no different, so let’s see what’s on.

Megan’s Choice

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Flashpoint on this site, and it’s well deserved. This is one of the few police dramas that has strong cases every week, along with great character building moments. I also enjoy the new member of the team, Raff. He’s super easy on the eyes. So smooth. 🙂

On tonight’s episode, torn from his dying father’s bedside, Spike joins Team One to face their largest bomb threat yet, but realizes the only way to diffuse the bomb is to get inside the dangerous mind of its creator.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/12/11

Who watched Rookie Blue last night? Did you enjoy it as much as I did? It was seriously one of my favorite episodes in a while. It was an all around great episode for so many of the characters, including some brilliant scenes between Sam & Andy. What about So You Think You Can Dance? I was SO happy Melanie won. I wish Marko had gotten second, instead of third, but… It was a pretty good finale, regardless. I got to see my favorite routine ever—Marko and Melanie’s statue routine—as well as their routine with the kiss. So I was a happy camper! Anyway, that was last night. There’s some great TV on tonight, as well, so check out what we think you should watch!

Jenny’s Choice

I’m not sure how I felt about last week’s Haven. I mean, I enjoyed it… I always do—it is Haven, after all. But I’m not sure how much I’m digging Jason Priestly’s character and Audrey’s… attraction to him. I loved the other guest star, WWE’s Edge, much more. (Not that I want Audrey with him, of course, but I loved the idea behind the character.) There were some great moments, though—especially when Nathan became enamored with the guy. I also don’t like Evi, Duke’s ex. I just have this feeling there is something hinky about her. And WHAT was up with that empty box? Kind of creepy, no?

On tonight’s episode, Audrey, Chris, Duke, and Evi find themselves trapped inside an isolated estate with a mysterious force that is steaking people away. Nathan attempts to find a way inside the estate before the force can cause more harm.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/5/11

It’s Friday, and I have to say, I’m glad. It’s been kind of a long week, what with family visiting last weekend and other family coming this weekend. It’s also only 11 days until my kid goes back to school, so that’s exciting. 😀 lol I love Fridays right now, because there are a couple of great shows on my must see list. What about you? Read on to find out our picks for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

Last week was kind of a heart breaking episode of Haven. That’s the saddest thing about this show for me sometimes…that the “troubled” people get screwed sometimes. Sure, there are people who take advantage of the “troubles,” but then there are the innocents who have to deal with it all. Lewis was stuck in Haven for the rest of his life to control the machines. Poor guy. Then we saw the craziness surrounding Audrey #2, when she looked into the mysterious shack, lost her memories, and left Haven after our Audrey filled her in on what she didn’t remember. Is Agent Howard behind it? I’m sure he is. Will we find out more, especially this season? I doubt it.

On tonight’s episode, Audrey and Nathan launch an investigation into a dangerous series of electrocutions that have been randomly occurring around town. Jason Priestly and WWE’s Edge guest star.
