I’m back after some technical difficulties yesterday with my Internet and satellite. Honestly, if I had a choice where I live, I would no longer deal with the company I’m with, but seeing as I live in the boonies, I’m stuck with this stuff. Anyway, enough about my disdain for my satellite provider… Let’s take a look at what we’re recommending on television tonight.
Megan’s Choice
I don’t remember a season of The Voice that has been quite as full of talented singers and amazing coaches. Honestly, this group of four is the best mix yet in my opinion. Now, we all know that I absolutely ADORE Adam Lavigne (if you haven’t checked out Maroon 5’s newest album, you should—it’s fantastic…), but as much as I love Adam, his choice last week to keep Damian and eliminate Toia Jones was ridiculous. Damian sang a very, very sleepy version of Trisha Yearwood’s “How Do I Live,” while Toia dominated the stage with Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love.” Unfortunately, Pharrell had already used his steal, or I’m sure he’d have stolen Toia back because he was loving that performance. Overall, that was the only moment of last week’s knockout rounds that I didn’t agree with, but it was a big one, so I hope that this week, Adam doesn’t let me down again—and yes, frankly, it is all about me.
On tonight’s episode, “The Knockouts Part 3,” we watch as more talented singers bring it all to the stage and how they put the time of one-on-one coaching from Taylor Swift to use.
To see if Adam redeems himself after his stupidity last week, tune in to NBC at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Sleepy Hollow, Gotham, 2 Broke Girls, Jane the Virgin, Scorpion, The Blacklist, and NCIS: LA.
