If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/17/11

Tuesday is bringing us another round of amazing shows to watch! There are a touch of season finales and several pre-finales to catch. No matter what, we’ve got your taste in TV covered. Grab your remote and see what shows we recommend channel surfing to.

Jamie’s Choice #1

Body of Proof continues to be an amazing show. It is the unique perspective that Megan Hunt (Dana Delany) brings to her cases that keeps viewers fascinated. Additional kudos go to her fellow cast members for their humor and intelligence, which brings this show such a well roundedness that it makes it worth tuning in to see. It’s also what got this show a renewal for next season.

Tonight, Megan picks up the case of a young philanthropic socialite. After the autopsy, Megan clearly detects the probability of foul play. Unfortunately, the investigation gets interrupted, and even deterred, by a tiny problem with Kate’s (Jerri Ryan) personal life. She happens to be dating Megan’s exhusband!

If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/1/11

Brrrrr! It’s COLD here in the midwest! It’s 13 right now and feels like negative 1, and there will be blizzard conditions and ice for at least today. My kid’s got today off school, and if it turns out like they say it will, he will probably be off tomorrow, too. Again, I say, Brrrrr! Let’s see what shows will keep me entertained tonight, assuming we don’t lose power. Eek!

Jenny’s Choice

I would normally pick NCIS, but I’ve been looking forward to tonight’s episode of One Tree Hill all season. The show has been great this season, and I really enjoy it, despite the hatred some people have for it (*cough*Ausiello*cough*). lol My favorite couple on the show has to be Brooke and Julian. They are just too adorable together, and he’s become one of my favorite characters, alongside Brooke herself. Luckily, tonight’s episode centers around them!

On tonight’s episode, the much-anticipated date for Brooke and Julian’s wedding day has finally come to Tree Hill. Some dreams have become a reality, secrets are finally revealed, and the wedding hookups are inevitable for everyone involved.

Don’t miss tonight’s great new episode on the CW at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of One Tree Hill @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/25/11

It’s a VERY slow night for new TV tonight because of the annual State of the Union address by the President of the United States. What we have is yours, though, so here are our recommendations! (By the way, was I not RIGHT about last night’s Castle?! I loved watching it a 2nd time just as much as I did the 1st!)

Jenny’s Choice

My choice tonight is kind of odd. I really only 3 shows on tonight, and Megan is doing the only scripted one of mine. The other two are on Food Network, and while I love watching them (Cupcake Wars & Chopped), my recommendation tonight is a show I’m so far behind on, it’s not even funny. But I love the show, and love the cast, and think if you haven’t been watching, you should be. Southland is a fantastic drama with really great storylines, a really great cast, and fantastic characters. That’s why it’s my choice for tonight.

On tonight’s episode of Southland, John offers some veteran advice to Ben when they have to notify someone of a loved one’s passing; Nate offers to let Sammy stay at his place while Sammy struggles with his marriage; Lydia and Josie are forced to deal with an unusual suspect.

Don’t miss tonight’s new episode on TNT at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Southland @ Clicker.

TV News – 12/13/10

Happy Monday! 🙂 I can’t believe that it’s only 11 days until Christmas Eve, I have so much left to do. You’re going to notice that we’re popping in and out of the site in the next few weeks, but don’t feel ignored, we love you guys, but our family lives are going to be a little hectic with the holidays. We’ll be checking in and dropping special news bits, but just not as frequently. Hang in there we’ll be back full strength in the New Year and as usual bring you great news, reviews and interviews! Speaking of news, I’ve got a few tidbits of information for you so let’s get started.

I’m excited to report that Quinton Aaron, the star of the fabulous movie The Blind Side, has been cast in a guest-starring role on One Tree Hill. He’ll be playing, “Tommy, a student in Nathan’s (James Lafferty) business class who is singled out by Professor Kellerman (Peter Reiget) for being an athlete”. Tommy will connect with Nathan, but at the moment he’s only listed for one episode (during February sweeps), but who nows if he’ll appear more after that. I loved Aaron in The Blind Side, he was fabulous so anything that I get to see more of him in I’m game, are you? Source

More after the jump. Continue reading

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/2/10

I understand the obsession with baseball and the need for the Election broadcasts, but I’d like to let the powers that be know that I’m sick of my TV schedule being messed with. 😉 There’s no new Glee tonight but there is a few shows worth checking out so let’s see what this crazy bunch of TV junkies think you should be watching.

Megan’s Choice

Tonight I am suggesting One Tree Hill on the CW network at 8/7c. This season has had a lot of great story lines, and I’m impressed at the writer’s ability to keep the show fresh after all this time. I’ve been enjoying the season so far, especially the arcs about Nathan and Haley, because I think they’re adorable.

On tonight’s episode, Brooke attempts to bond with her future mother-in-law while Julian searches for his best man. Elsewhere, Skills arrive back in town; Nathan faces problems with his new career; and Haley’s skills as a counselor are called into question. Tune in to see where this evening soap opera takes us.
