If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/24/13

It’s nearing the end of April…so WHY did I get snow today?! Granted, it didn’t stick, but seriously. Come on! Ugh. To take my mind off the fact that Mother Nature is a…witch, let’s see what we’re recommending you watch tonight.

Jenny’s Choice

psych424smallLast week’s Psych was…confusing. We flipped back and forth between reality and Shawn’s dream day, where he and Juliet were together and over-the-top happy. I was really hopeful at the end when Juliet showed up, even when I realized the “dream” wasn’t real…but apparently Shawn hadn’t learned anything, because he totally screwed up by saying things would still be great if he hadn’t given her his jacket. Seriously, dude? SERIOUSLY? I’m beyond ticked off at him right now, and if he doesn’t shape up, he deserves to have her leave him for good. Hrmph.

On tonight’s episode, “Juliet Wears the Pantsuit,” Shawn bonds with Woody, and Juliet befriends a girl who Shawn believes to be a killer. Kurt Fuller and Sage Brocklebank guest star.

See if Shawn’s right about Juliet’s new roomie tonight on USA Network at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Psych @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Law & Order: SVU, How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life), & The Americans.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/17/13

Happy Wednesday, everybody. How’s your week going so far? Good? Good! Mine’s going okay, too. 😀 It’s a pretty slow night for mid-week TV, but we’ve all got opinions on what you should be watching, so let’s get to it. 😉

Jenny’s Choice

psych417smallLast week’s Psych was great. Lassie and the group went to Vegas for his and Marlowe’s bachelor & bachelorette parties—at which we met his “best friend” who turned out not to truly be his best friend and a big douche, and where we got to see the chief drunk off her…behind. Then Marlowe got cold feet and ended up kidnapped by the bad guy, and when he & Lassie made arrangements to exchange the bad guy’s accountant that Lassie had in custody for Marlowe, neither side brought the right person, so they came to an agreement, which was just too funny. Then the actual wedding got interrupted, Marlowe wore a red dress, and we learned she had some kick-ass moves… In the end, they did end up tying the knot. It was cute. BUT… At the reception, Jules figured out that Shawn wasn’t really psychic, that he’d been lying the entire time, not just to the chief & the rest of the department, but to her, as well. Crazy!

Is this the end to Shawn & Juliet? I don’t see how she can tell Lassie or Chief Vick, because that would really signal the end of the series… But can she forgive him for lying in the first place and not telling her the truth when they finally got together and even after they moved in together? Eek. 🙁

On tonight’s episode, “Right Turn or Left for Dead,” Shawn solves a case involving a mysterious Swedish woman and imagines how the same case would have been solved had he done one thing differently. Kurt Fuller, Lauriane Gillieron, & Rose Abdoo guest star.

To see how Shawn & Juliet are doing after last week’s major revelation, tune in to USA Network at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Psych @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing How to Live with Your Parents (the Rest of Your Life) & The Americans.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/10/13

It’s already Wednesday, which means we’re halfway through the week. On the one hand, it’s seemed to crawl by, but on the other, I’m constantly looking at the clock and asking myself where the time’s gone. I may be a little bit mentally touched in the head… LOL But that’s okay. It just means I’m a lot of fun to be around! 😉 Instead of listening to the voices in my head, just listen to what we think you should be watching tonight. (On a side note, everyone cross your fingers that JJ starts to feel better soon. We miss him! 🙂 )

psych410smallI never thought I’d see the day that straight-laced Detective Lassiter fall in love with and want to marry a convicted felon. Granted, she’s not a murderer or anything, but still… Psych was hysterical last week, as Marlowe got out of prison. She was assigned to a parole officer, and while Lassie planned to use him “charm” and his position as a police detective, they figured out right away that his idea wouldn’t work…since her parole officer was a woman he slept with and never called. The hoops she had them jumping through was hysterical. The Shawn/Gus/Maximus story line was great, too. My favorite part was the porta-potty warehouse scene. Fantastic. 😀

On tonight’s episode, “Deez Nups,” the gang spends the weekend at a casino resort for Lassie & Marlowe’s wedding and crosses paths with a local crime boss whose presence jeopardizes the impending nuptials. Sage Brocklebank, Kurt Fuller, Kristy Swanson, Mike Starr, Cocoa Brown, & Pete Gardner guest star.

See if Lassie gets to actually walk down the aisle tonight on USA Network at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Psych @ TV.com.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/27/13

I can’t wait for this week to be over because it’s a long weekend ahead of us, but also because I’m going to get to visit with my sister and family. My sister is truly one of the most amazing people I know, and since moving a few hours away, I don’t see her as often as I’d like, so you can be sure when she gets here Friday, it’s going to be a house full of giggles and goofiness. 🙂 Until then, I have some TV to amuse myself with, so let’s look at what you should be watching.

Megan’s Choice

duckdynastysmallWeek after week, I fall more in love with Duck Dynasty and ask myself what took me so long to find this awesome gem! I know there are haters out there (ahem…Kyle), but most of these haters haven’t even given the show a chance. I challenge you to sit down and watch one episode, and if after that episode, you still hate it…so be it. (I bet you won’t 🙂 )

There’s something endearing about these redneck duck hunters with their crazy beards and their odd work environment. Si is by far my favorite because his randomness makes me giggle all the time. Last week, watching him play the pinball machine was hilarious, because to him, everything is a competition. Also, the whole massage chair thing was so amusing. Willie always has to ruin Si’s fun… How dare he try to run the business. 😉

On tonight’s episode, “Ring around the Redneck,” Si uses his metal detector to help Jase locate his lost wedding ring, but soon becomes distracted by what he believes is buried treasure from his past.

To watch Si get distracted by shiny things, tune in to A&E at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Duck Dynasty @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching American Idol, Suburgatory, Law & Order: SVU, and Restaurant Stakeout.

psychlogosmall

Psych is celebrating its 100th episode, and recently, Timothy Omundson (Lassiter) & Maggie Lawson (Juliet) spoke with the press about not only that milestone, but other, upcoming episodes and what it’s been like for 100 episodes of the show. Read on to see what they had to say!

On what we’ll see in the 100th episode

psychcall327asmallTimothy Omundson: What aren’t you going to see in the 100th episode?

Maggie Lawson: Exactly. It’s going to be fantastic. It’s going to be silly. It’s going to be like non-stop. And there’s some crazy…some crazy thing we’re doing where we… I think it’s that the fans choose the ending. Am I right, Tim?

Timothy: You are correct, Maggie. It’s going to be … super awesome.

You’re also going to see a cornucopia of some of the greatest guest stars or certainly the greatest group of guest stars ever put together for our show in one thing.
