If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/17/12

What a long week it’s been, and I couldn’t be happier for this weekend – especially because it’s a long weekend in Canada for Family Day. Has anyone else noticed how everyone has been getting sick lately? I’m ready for Spring and warm weather, aren’t you? Before we get there, let’s enjoy some more February sweeps with all new episodes tonight.

Megan’s Choice

Blue Bloods, how I love thee, let me count the ways… Danny Reagan, Jamie Reagan. Yummy cast. 🙂 What? A girl has to have dreams, and what better kind than two police officer brothers that look like them? Fantastic! Last week’s episode, we watched a daughter who was convinced that God told her that her stepfather killed her mother. What do you know – she wasn’t completely crazy! He did kill her.

On tonight’s episode, “Parenthood,” a thief is shot and killed after robbing a family and beating them, which makes the Reagans ponder how far they would go to protect their loved ones. Meanwhile, Frank struggles with charges brought against a girl arrested at a rally.

To see how far the Reagan love would go to protect, tune in to CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Blue Bloods @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Spartacus: Vengeance and Supernatural.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/27/12

It’s Friday! That means tonight is the start to the weekend for most people, and that’s something to celebrate. So kick back and relax, and check out what we think you should be watching below!

Jenny’s Choice

It may be Friday, but it’s kind of a sad day for Chuck fans. For five seasons, we have grown up with Chuck Bartowski, Morgan Grimes, and company. We’ve seen them find unexpected careers and love, respect, and have a blast doing it. It’s not always been perfect, but it was always something I truly enjoyed watching. I’ve seen every episode, and I can honestly say that I totally have a crush on Chuck and his portrayer, Zachary Levi. lol I will miss the cast (I hope to see them all in other shows soon, but they will never again be all together. boo.), and I will miss the stories. After five years, they truly feel like an extension of my family. Tonight’s 2-hour series finale (shown as 2, 1-hour episodes) marks the end of something great. I wish them all success in whatever they choose to do next!

On tonight’s first episode, “Chuck versus Sarah,” after a harrowing mission, Sarah returns to Chuck with a huge secret. Meanwhile, Ellie and Awesome are presented with a new opportunity that could change their lives.

Then on “Chuck versus the Goodbye,” Chuck enlists his family, friends, and some unexpected allies as he races to stop Nicholas Quinn (guest star Angus Macfadyen, Braveheart) from destroying everything Chuck has built over the past five years.

Please don’t miss it tonight on NBC starting at 8/7c and 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Chuck @ Clicker.

Interview with Steven S. DeKnight from Spartacus: Vengeance

Earlier this week, the creator, writer, and Executive Producer behind the amazing franchise of Spartacus, Steven S. DeKnight, took some time to chat with journalists. He had so many wonderful insights into the newest installment, Spartacus: Vengeance. He discussed the reason why certain characters must meet their demise, the plans for our favorite characters, and so many other fabulous insights.

Just to prepare you for the rest of the interview, here’s a brief synopsis of what this new installment is all about. Basically, it’s just purely epic.

On the heels of the bloody escape from the House of Batiatus that concluded Spartacus: Blood and Sand, the gladiator rebellion continues and begins to strike fear into the heart of the Roman Republic in Spartacus: Vengeance. Gaius Claudius Glaber and his Roman troops are sent to Capua to crush the growing band of freed slaves that Spartacus leads before it can inflict further damage. Spartacus is presented the choice of satisfying his personal need for vengeance against the man that condemned his wife to slavery and eventual death, or making the larger sacrifices necessary to keep his budding army from breaking apart. Containing all of the blood-soaked action, exotic sexuality, villainy, and heroism that has come to distinguish the series, the tale of Spartacus resumes in epic fashion.

Just reading that is exciting, isn’t it? Keep up the excitement by jumping ahead to read the interview. Continue reading
