When will this snow finally go away?! I blame Punxsutawney Phil for the foot of the white stuff that got dumped on us here in Massachusetts yesterday. With the Winter Olympics starting up, the TV selections are going to be a bit slimmer for the next few weeks, but I’m actually looking forward to getting a chance to clear out the TiVo. Check out our recommendations.
Last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory was all about the guys trying to get Comic-Con tickets. When they got shut out during the online badge sale, Sheldon decided to start his own convention, while the rest of the guys decided to find a scalper. In his search for convention guests, Sheldon made friends with James Earl Jones—though he soon regretted his new friendship, as James never stopped talking and wanted to perform childish pranks on his Star Wars co-star, Carrie Fisher. Meanwhile, the girls decided to go on a “grown-ups” night out, but their “high tea” ended up being a mother/daughter event for little girls.
Who knew James Earl Jones was so hilarious—well, I guess I should have known based on those great Sprint ads he does with Malcolm McDowell. The actor seemed up for anything on this episode, and he delivered! On the other hand, the stuff about the Comic-Con tickets felt way too real and made me even more stressed out about getting my SDCC badge this Saturday!
On tonight’s episode, “The Locomotive Manipulation,” Amy has amour on her mind when she talks Sheldon into a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway to Napa Valley wine country. Back at home, Leonard and Penny make an emergency visit to the vet with Raj’s dog.
See if Amy’s able to get Sheldon to romance her even a little tonight on CBS at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Millers, The Crazy Ones, Rake, and King of the Nerds.
