Tonight is a VERY slow night for television. There’s not much on, but what that means is we are one night closer to the new Fall season! Yay! Read on to find out what we think you should watch tonight.

Jenny’s Choice

I’m recommending Top Shot tonight, but because I was kind of spazzy last week, apparently, I missed recording the last episode. I got it recorded tonight, but after my kiddo went to bed, so I have to wait to watch it until tomorrow. That means I can’t talk about it yet, because I don’t know what happened! Eek! I want to find out who went home! Anyway, that’s my pick for tonight. It’s such a fun competition show to watch! I’m also with Kyle on his pick, but I’m watching two… Why can’t you? 😉

On tonight’s episode of Top Shot, “The Bulldog Gatling,” the legendary Gatling gun is introduced. But first, the competition travels back to the Old West for a team challenge with a historic pistol. To stay in the competition, two marksmen shoot it out with a firearm considered by many to be the world’s first practical machine gun.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/23/11

Tonight is kind of (read: REALLY) slow tonight for new television. You can definitely tell the summer season is close to ending! Still, we’ve each found something to recommend tonight, so what we have is yours!

Jenny’s Choice

I love Top Shot. It’s a show that my entire family loves to watch together. It’s fun to watch the different people come together and shoot all those different weapons, from handguns to bows and arrows to sniper rifles. Like I’ve mentioned before, I tend to root for the underdog, and I’ve possibly found that person this season. Twenty-eight year old Dustin is a Christian Summer Camp Director, self taught at shooting. I think the others are seriously going to underestimate his ability, if they haven’t already. There are quite a few more in the lineup that I like still, but we’ll see as the season plays out whether or not they remain on my good side!

On tonight’s episode, the speed and accuracy of both teams are challenged with shotguns. When two of the marksmen are forced to fight elimination, they are given a Glock .34 and a line of non-stop cannonballs to strike targets in hopes of staying in the competition.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/9/11

Did anyone else watch that amazing episode of Teen Wolf last night? Wasn’t it creepy and delicious? All I can think is that if that episode was so good, where is the season finale going to take us? Enough about last night’s television. Let’s see what tonight has to offer!

Megan’s Choice

Combat Hospital might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it amuses me. I enjoy not only the relationships, but the medical cases, as well. I’ve also been loving the Canadian voice the show has (obviously because I’m proudly Canadian), and the cast is really quite good. The sexual tension between Dr. Simon Hill (Luke Mably, The Gates) and Major Rebecca Gordon (Michelle Borth, Hawaii Five-0) is starting to reach its breaking point, and I’m excited to see where it takes us.

On tonight’s episode, Bobby makes a controversial decision to try and save a patient at all costs, and that decision opens a rift beween the doctors and the nurses at Role 3 hospital.
