TV News – 10/10/11

Happy Monday and Thanksgiving for all my fellow Canadians. 🙂 I hope everyone had a great weekend and you’re ready for a quick news update. Here’s a couple bits of TV news that are interesting, exciting, or annoying…

In the column for annoying, we have FOX bumping the awesome comedy, New Girl, until November 1st. In its place, we’ll have baseball on Tuesdays and extended installments of The X Factor on Wednesdays. I am really sad by this news, because too many weeks without New Girl is a terrible thing. Source

Some tidbits of news to help you through your day!

NBC cut some dead weight yesterday, when they canceled The Playboy Club. I can’t say that I’m surprised, because while it’s very true that Eddie Cibrian is amazingly hot, this pilot was not. The stories dragged, the dialogue was poor, and overall, it just sucked.

While chopping some bunnies, NBC also ordered full seasons of Up All Night and Whitney. I’m actually surprised by Whitney being picked up. It’s not funny at all. I guess we’ll have to see how it does in the long run. Source

TV News – 8/8/11

I decided to do a little news post prompted by some aggravating news that broke earlier today. Let’s see what’s going on in the world of TV news.

I don’t want to be rude, because I actually love Syfy, but they aren’t playing by basic playground rules. You know, where you can’t take something back once you’ve given it? For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, let me fill you in. 🙂

Syfy gave Eureka a 6 episode pick up for a sixth season, and then took it back. Here’s a statement that Syfy gave earlier today:

“After a painstaking consideration, we have had to make the difficult business decision to not order a season six of Eureka. But Eureka is not over yet. There is a new holiday episode this December and 12 stellar episodes set to debut next year, marking it’s fifth season and six memorable years of Syfy. The 2012 episodes are some of the best we’ve seen and will bring the great series to a satisfying end. We are very grateful to Bruce Miller and Jaime Paglia, their team of incredible writers, and an amazing cast and crew who have consistently delivered a series we continue to be very proud of. We thank the fans for their support of this show and know they will enjoy it’s final season in 2012.”

I’m happy that we still have another season to go, but sad that it ever has to end. 🙂 I’ll be especially sad when there are no more Eureka Comic-Con panels, because they are always hilarious and amazing! 🙂 Sound off below on how you feel about this news. Source

TV News – 6/20/11

I’m here to give you a round up of a few interesting TV news stories that have been bouncing around lately. My plan is to bring you a weekly news post for the summer months until the news picks up more. Now that Pherson is starting to sleep a bit more at night, (and by more I mean I get 3 hours at a time instead of 2. 🙂 ), I’m starting to feel a bit more human.

Let’s take a look at some of that news, shall we?

Criminal Minds fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief, because Thomas Gibson has finally signed an agreement to stay on for two more years. That wraps up the missing links, because my honey, Shemar Moore, has already signed his. Whew! That’s all the hotties back, both male and female, because Paget Brewster and AJ Cook will both be back, as well! I’m super excited for the season seven. Now, if they could only get Garcia and Morgan together, I’d be on cloud nine! Source
