Can I just say that I am beyond frustrated with Best Buy? If anyone remembers, my down arrow key broke off my laptop (so bad that it can’t be put back), and the other arrow keys are not quite right. So we finally took it to Best Buy tonight, who said I have the standard warranty, but that the keyboard problems fall under “accidental” coverage. The same one that covers spills and droppage, etc. WTF? Ok, fine. Give me an estimate on how much it’ll cost to fix it. Should be easy, right? Look up the laptop ID, you should be able to figure out how long a keyboard replacement should take and should know how much that will cost. No…we’d have to send it in JUST TO GET THE DAMN ESTIMATE! Again… WTF?! So fine, we’ll call some of the local repair shops. Idiots. Anyway, I’m currently enjoying Monday night’s TV while I write this up, so that’s helping calm me down. 😉 Now, let’s see what we think you should be watching TONIGHT. 🙂
Jenny’s Choice #1
The last new episode of Raising Hope was hysterical, as Jimmy, Virginia, and Burt worked to get their GEDs. None of the three of them would have passed had they not worked together and cheated. It was so wrong, but so cute. I loved how they each used someone to help them and the way those people helped them learn. Jimmy and Sabrina with Hope at the playground? Adorable. Virginia and Maw Maw singing and playing the piano to learn History? Frank working with Burt, acting out the play? Both so great. Fred Williard was brilliant as the teacher who had taught all three of them back in high school. I love this show something fierce. It never fails to make me laugh, and I can’t wait to see and every episode.
On tonight’s episode, “Gambling Again,” Burt becomes obsessed with gambling when he believes he can reclaim all the items he lost when he bet away all the Chance’s belongings nearly 20 years ago. Worried about his bad habit reemerging, Virginia and Jimmy try to intervene but soon get swept up in the betting frenzy and develop their own gambling habit. But their luck begins to run out when they miss Shelley’s staged play written by Sabrina and starring Hope as the lead.
This week so far has been great, and I’m looking forward to another wonderful night of television. Even though a lot of our favorite shows are off this week, there are still a few to keep us amused. Let’s see what you should be watching to keep this week going strong.
Last week, Remodeled premiered and started the journey to change modeling agencies everywhere. I admire Paul Fisher’s goal to make the world of modeling a safer place. Can he do it? I’m not sure, actually, but I’m so glad he’s trying. It’s time the world started to nurture our young people, instead of giving them unhealthy, unattainable models to look at.
On tonight’s episode, “Modeling Agency or Modeling School?” Paul visits an agency in South Dakota and is outraged that the owner is running a modeling school for girls who have little chance of succeeding as models.
To see if Paul Fisher can indeed make a difference, tune in to The CW at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Remodeled @ Clicker.
