If We Controlled Your Remote…. 2/9/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Kyle’s Choice

janethevirgin29smallLast week on Jane the Virgin, Jane got a job writing for The Passions of Santos but quickly discovered her first assignment was to write her father’s death scene. Rogelio’s assistant had manipulated events in order to make Rogelio look bad so he could become the new star of the show. Meanwhile, Petra faked her own murder in order to trick her mother into revealing that she could walk. And Rose was revealed (to us) as Sin Rostro as she murdered Emilio, burying him alive in fresh cement.

Will Michael and the others also discover Rose’s secret? What will Rafael do when he discovers his father is dead? Has Petra buried the hatchet with Milos now that she knows her mother was actually the target of his acid? What will Rogelio do now—Santos must have an evil twin or identical cousin they could write into the show, right?! Or is he headed to Hollywood to try to make it on the big screen? I hope Rogelio sticks around because he is my favorite character!

On tonight’s episode, “Chapter Thirteen,” Jane learns the baby’s sex, but a medical issue arises and may interfere with Jane’s graduation. Meanwhile, Alba refuses to tell Xo about something she finds too embarrassing to discuss; and Michael believes he’s uncovered Sin Rostro’s real identity.

To see if a medical issue does indeed interfere with Jane’s graduation, tune in to The CW at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Castle, Gotham, Sleepy Hollow, Jane the Virgin, Chasing Life, and Better Call Saul.

Megan’s Choice

sleepyhollow29smallI was stressed out watching Sleepy Hollow last week because I just knew they had something up their sleeve concerning Frank, and voila… They did. He is indeed evil and in Henry’s pocket, but the others are trusting him, which means he’s going to continue to spy on them for his boss. The case of the week revolved around an evil warlock that came back from hell to get his hands on an ancient spell book that will help him go back in time to undo what he did and save the woman he was obsessed with from him killing her. Unfortunately, the dark magic was too strong in him because he was killing everyone who got in his way, except Katrina, who faced off against him. He told her that she can’t fight her true nature and there’s darkness in her…and then her eyes went all dark and stormy. This is bound to be a gigantic storyline for the rest of the season for Katrina and Ichabod—perhaps I’ll finally get my wish and get rid of Katrina for the rest of the show’s run. In the end, Ichabod, Abbie, and Frank got rid of the warlock, although Frank stole the evil spell book and killed the guy when the others weren’t looking. It’s sad, really, because I was rooting for Frank to have a soul, but instead he’s going to be working for Henry again. Boo.

On tonight’s episode, “What Lies Beneath,” Ichabod and Abbie face demonic creatures guarding a secret crypt and cross paths with Thomas Jefferson; Jenny learns a secret about Irving.

To see what secret Jenny uncovers, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching Gotham, Eye Candy, 2 Broke Girls, Scorpion, and NCIS: LA.
