My first pick tonight is the season finale of Scorpion. This show’s been such a great surprise for me. I mean, I’d hoped it would be good when I first heard the blurb, but I’ve enjoyed it even more than I’d hoped I would. But last week was killer, when Walter found out that Cabe knew three days before the bombs were dropped what Walter’s software was actually being used for. Walter was so angry that Cabe hadn’t told him. (Cabe’s logic was that Walter would change the software, rendering the bombs useless. When Walter said that’s what he’d have done, Cabe said Walter would’ve gone to prison and he himself would’ve been arrested for treason. It makes sense…) But still, Walter was so angry that he told the director that he wouldn’t work with Cabe anymore, so Cabe was off the team. Then when Paige realized Ralph was behaving so like Walter that he would sneak off from school, make his way to the research site where they were, and then put himself in grave danger to help the team, she told Walter she quit and would be moving to Maine with Drew — and that she didn’t want Ralph to grow up to be like Walter. I could hear shipper hearts breaking everywhere! Walter went a little crazy. He threw out the attitude that he didn’t need Cabe or Paige, and then he took off in the fancy sports car the rich, former Scorpion client gave him…and promptly crashed through a guardrail and went over the edge of a cliff, leaving us with a lot of fears and worries coming into tonight’s finale.
Obviously Walter can’t die, Paige can’t move away, and Cabe can’t be gone for good. The show’s already been renewed for a second season, thank goodness. So the questions remains: How will they recue Walter? Will Walter reconcile with Paige and Cabe after a near-death experience? Will Happy finally forgive Toby and put the poor man out of his misery by throwing him a bone and giving him a kiss? I can’t wait to find out tonight!
On tonight’s episode, “Postcards from the Edge,†Scorpion, torn apart and uncertain about their future as a team, must come together for their most important mission yet: to save Walter’s life as his car teeters on the side of a cliff.
See how the team saves Walter tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

Tonight, after a three-week hiatus, Castle finally returns with the first of its final four episodes of the season. When we last saw the 12th precinct, it was the annual talent show, and Ryan & Esposito were secretly planning another showstopper. Gates asked Castle to be their celebrity contestant once Jimmy Kimmel backed out, and his ego graciously agreed, as long as Beckett could be his partner — something she wasn’t too thrilled about. Singing in the shower was one thing, but the idea of performing in front of her co-workers was horrifying to Beckett. Ryan and Esposito made a wager with Castle as to who would win and even faked an injury to give him a false sense of security. In the end, Castle managed to get Kimmel to return so that he and Beckett could bow out of the competition gracefully.
Castle is still my favorite of the currently running couple-based police procedurals, and I really enjoy when they have these fun episodes. So far the show’s future is still up in the air — while Nathan Fillian has signed on for another season, the rest of the cast is still up in the air, and there has been no official renewal announcement yet anyway. It’ll be interesting to see where the show goes in these final four episodes of the season… Will they write the show to a possible series conclusion or head toward another big cliffhanger? It all starts tonight when we finally get some more information as to what happened with Castle during his disappearance.
On tonight’s episode, “Sleeper,” Castle has a perplexing recurring dream, which leads him and Beckett to investigate the two months he went missing. However, their search has dangerous repercussions.
Learn what Castle and Beckett find tonight on ABC at 10:01/9:01c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Gotham, The Following, Jane the Virgin, Bates Motel, and The Returned.

My second pick tonight is the new episode of NCIS: LA. Last week, Callen went back undercover in prison and got in with a gang of white supremacists. When they surprised him by robbing a bank instead of just casing the place, they figured out later that he was a federal agent when his accounting for what happened just before they escaped the bank didn’t match up to what was being reported on TV. Before that, Callen had turned one of the younger, newer members (without telling him he was a Fed), but in the end, the cavalry arrived to save a gasoline-covered Callen just as the leader was about to torch him…and unfortunately, the young guy Callen had been talking to was shot by the FBI agent with them, even though I believe he wasn’t going to shoot Callen. The coolest part of the episode was the end, when we got to learn/see via flashback the first time Callen met Hetty, when she took him off the cops’ hands after he’d run away from a foster home and stolen a cop car, crashing it into a utility pole of some sort.
Tonight isn’t the season finale, but I’m recommending it because one of my favorite recurring characters is back this episode. Plus, I think Callen’s Joelle is back, so it’ll be good to catch up with them. I’m also wondering if we’re gonna get any more on Deeks’s situation with the LAPD & IA!
On tonight’s episode, “Beacon,†Callen and Sam are shocked when an old acquaintance, who they thought was the recent victim of a murder, appears and asks for their help. As the team investigates, they uncover a possible breach of America’s economic sanctions against Russia.
To see who asks for help and if the team can keep them safe, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, Food Fortunes, & Castle.
