Because of my hospital stay in July, I got WAY backed up on TV. I’ve finally cleared 90% of it off, just in time for the new stuff to start. One of the things I was backed up on was Rizzoli & Isles, and I’m so glad I caught up in time for tonight’s summer finale. There’s been some fantastic stories this season. The most notable came the last couple of weeks, with the introduction of the fire at Jane’s apartment, which then led to Jane’s problem last week with her credit cards all being canceled…which in turn led them to realize someone has been stalking Jane and deliberately set fire to her apartment. Eek! There were a lot of great moments last week, though: the hippie guy at the beach who gave Jane the paper flower; Jane freaking out about the crowd and their cell phones when they arrested the bad guy; Korsak and Angela’s double date and subsequent explanation of how their s.o.’s know each other; the LA medical examiner, who was even stranger and nerdier than Maura can be.
After tonight’s summer finale, we’ll have the last six episodes of season 6 coming up sometime during the winter. Then next summer will be the final, shortened season for the show, which makes me sad. I am happy that the writers had a heads-up and can write a proper series finale. Thankfully, we have plenty of show to go before that day!
On tonight’s episode, “5:26,†when an old watch is found inside a balloon of cocaine in a dead woman’s stomach, figuring out its significance becomes the key to protecting Jane — and the people she loves.
See who’s after Jane and if they can catch him/her before it’s too late tonight on TNT at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped, Playing House, & Hollywood Game Night.

Tonight, the first season of MTV’s Scream comes to a close. Last week, it was Halloween in Lakewood. Teacher Seth Branson (nee Seth Palmer) was arrested as the lead suspect in the masked murders, but he demanded his lawyer and refused to speak to the sheriff. Emma decided to test her theory that Seth could be the son of Brandon James and tried to do her own interrogation but didn’t get the confession she was hoping for. Elsewhere, with her boyfriend arrested and father in Jail, Brooke moved in with Jake; and Audrey and Noah came up with a plan to try to prove Branson killed Rachel but, while doing so, came across some video footage that made it look like Kieran may have murdered her. Later that evening at the school dance (which, of course, every teen slasher story needs), Kieran was nowhere to be found. And the dance quickly came to a halt as footage of a bloody Sheriff Hudson appeared on the huge video screen. Back at the police station, the police scanner was squawking with an APB for Branson, who had escaped from his cell.
Who will be the masked killer’s next victim? Will the sheriff survive? Will the killer be caught? Are either Branson or Kieran the man behind the mask, or is it someone else? I’m looking forward to seeing how the season comes to a close and if we will get answers or be left with a big cliffhanger for the second season!
On tonight’s episode, “Revelations,” Emma tries to save a loved one and also learns the identity of the killer.
Find out who the killer is tonight on MTV at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Zoo, Hollywood Game Night, Playing House, and Face Off.

Chopped is definitely one of my favorite cooking competition shows, but I love it even more when it’s a tournament like the Teen Tournament going on now. In the first round of the tournament, we saw four young cooks take on the complicated twists and turns of the Chopped kitchen, which included fish fillets, cotton candy, and movie-theatre popcorn. From appetizers to dessert, these kids gave it their all. This week, a whole new batch of teens are ready to take on the dreaded baskets.
On tonight’s episode, “Teen Tournament, Episode Two,” four new whiz kids battle it out in this second competition of the Teen Tournament. Expensive crustaceans are a bit of a shocker in the appetizer baskets, while nerves and mishaps plague round two, and one of the competitors gets flustered with the sharpness of the knives and the scarcity of time allotted to complete creative lamb entrees. The two teen chefs who make it to the dessert round must create yummy, sweet dishes with a frozen treat and an Indian spice.
To see how this new group makes out, tune in to Food Network at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching Zoo and Hollywood Game Night.
