Tonight is the season premiere of Chicago Fire, and after the cliffhanger of last season, we’re going to hit the ground running. Last season, Casey was undercover after Voight (from Chicago PD) and his team came to ask for his help in getting an inside track to the club owner that Casey had been working for, since they suspected him of being involved in human trafficking. But when we left off, a pregnant Dawson went to Casey’s house to tell him, only to find Nadia there, dead, and Casey missing. Obviously Dawson being pregnant will affect her ability to be a firefighter. The only solution I can see is that she becomes a paramedic again. I don’t know how long she’d be able to work at that in real life. On the show? Who knows. I’ve seen tonight’s premiere, so I know how and when they rescue Casey (cause you KNOW they’re going to), and I can tell you there’s a lot of surprises in store for him and the rest of the firehouse.
On tonight’s episode, “Let It Burn,†during an undercover operation, Lt. Casey lands in very dangerous territory; Dawson’s suspicions are confirmed; a new candidate (Steven R. McQueen, The Vampire Diaries) makes an unusual first impression; a protest hinders firefighters who are trying to battle a blaze.
Meet the new candidate tonight and see Casey’s rescue tonight on NBC at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Grandfathered, MasterChef Canada, NCIS, Married at First Sight: The First Year, NCIS: NOLA, Chopped, & Limitless.

NCIS: NOLA has helped to continue the successful reign of the NCIS franchise, and I’m so glad it has. There is so much to love about this show, from the great writing to the sexy LaSalle. There isn’t much I don’t like. Last week’s episode followed the death of a female pilot at the prime of her career during an airshow that Loretta was attending. Loretta took a personal interest in the case and worked fervently to prove that it wasn’t pilot error that caused the crash. She succeeded and proved that the plane was faulty and it had caused the pilot to get mercury poisoning. It was touching to see Loretta so passionate about this case, because we don’t get to see her that worked up often. She’s fabulous.
On tonight’s episode, “I Do,” the NCIS team must determine why a murdered Navy drone pilot was using a black market drone to obtain military surveillance and whether the drone’s footage is linked to his death.
To watch this team navigate this difficult case, tune in to CBS at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching The Voice, Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris, Limitless, and Chicago Fire.

Tonight, Neil Patrick Harris’s live NBC variety show, Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris, moves to 8/7c as he is joined by this week’s celebrity guest, Jack Black. Each week’s episode is filled with all kinds of zany fun. The segments usually involve Neil surprising an audience member with some pre-taped craziness involving one of their loved ones arranging to have cameras secretly follow them on an adventure; Neil challenging a celebrity to some big stunt; three surprised at-home viewers singing along with a musical guest to win money; one audience member answering news questions for prizes; a big over-the-top final performance; and more!
If you haven’t checked out this show yet, tune in tonight for some wild fun and craziness on NBC at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Limitless, The Muppets, Fresh Off the Boat, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Grandfathered, The Grinder, Scream Queens, The Flash, iZombie, and Face Off.
