Tonight is the series premiere of Into the Badlands on AMC at 10/9c. Centuries from now, a feudal society has emerged in the wake of civilization’s destruction. This area is now called the Badlands and is uneasily divided among seven rival Barons. Each Baron enforces their iron rule with the aid of loyal armies of trained assassins known as Clippers. The most lethal of the Badlands’ Clippers is Sunny (Daniel Wu) — the Regent (Head Clipper) and most trusted advisor of Baron Quinn (Marton Csokas). For decades, Quinn has been unchallenged as the Badlands’ most powerful Baron; however, the territory’s newest Baron, The Widow (Emily Beecham), has begun testing his appetite for a fight. One day, Sunny rescues M.K. (Aramis Knight), a teenage boy who has survived a deadly ambush. Sunny soon comes to understand that the teen harbors a dark secret and has a hefty bounty on his head. Together, they will embark on an odyssey that could mean the difference between chaos and enlightenment for everyone in the Badlands.

Tonight is the series premiere of Chicago Med on NBC at 9/8c. This an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors who hold it together. They will tackle unique new cases inspired by topical events, forging fiery relationships in the pulse-pounding pandemonium of the emergency room, and through it all, familiar faces from the Chicago police and fire departments will intertwine as this third team of Chicago heroes hits the ground running. The cast includes Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Laurie Holden, Nick Gehlfuss, and Yaya Dacosta.

Tonight is the complete first season premiere of The Man in the High Castle on Amazon at 12:01AM/11:01PMc. (The pilot became available back in January.) Based on Philip K. Dick’s Hugo Award-winning 1962 alternative history, The Man in the High Castle considers the question of what would have happened if the Allied Powers had lost World War II. Almost 20 years after that loss, the United States and much of the world has now been split between Japan and Germany, the major hegemonic states. But the tension between these two powers is mounting, and this stress is playing out in the western U.S. Through a collection of characters in various states of posing (spies, sellers of falsified goods, others with secret identities), The Man in the High Castle provides an intriguing tale about life and history as it relates to authentic and manufactured reality. The hour-long dramatic pilot stars Alexa Davalos (Mob City) as Juliana Crain, Luke Kleintank (Pretty Little Liars) as Joe Blake, Rupert Evans (The Village) as Frank Frink, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Mortal Kombat Legacy) as Tagomi, Joel De La Fuente (Hemlock Grove) as Inspector Kido, Rufus Sewell (Eleventh Hour) as John Smith, and DJ Qualls (Z Nation) as Ed McCarthy.
 
Tonight is also the series premiere of Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City. Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by an amazing cast including David Tennant (Kilgrave), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval, among others.

Saturday is the series premiere of Demons in the City of Angels on Reelz at 9/8c. For many, Los Angeles provides a dazzling dreamscape built on the hopes and dreams of those who risked everything to take their shot in show business. But demons also dwell in the City of Angels and lurking beneath the glitz and glamour are cold-blooded killers, brutal murders and shocking crime scenes. Demons in the City of Angels presents the tragic crimes that darkened the streets of L.A. and through emotional interviews and stylized re-creations, each one-hour episode takes viewers through the twists and turns of murder investigations that stunned the entertainment world.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Tiny House World on FYI at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. Each episode features a prospective homeowner looking to find the ideal mini-dream home in locations as diverse as Paris, France, Sydney, Australia, and Dublin, Ireland. With three homes to choose from, buyers will find that picking the perfect small space, that best fits their budget and desires, is no easy feat — even in the most exotic and exciting locations. Small in stature, the homes are often big on ingenuity and design. Still, the challenges of finding the perfect home abroad loom as large as any real estate hunt in the U.S. Viewers will see how the trend of tiny living has taken shape in other areas of the world and learn how different cultures approach design difficulties, space limitations and more.

Tonight is also a new episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC at 11:29/10:29c, with host Matthew McConaughey and musical guest Adele.
