It’s been over 5 months since we left off with Rizzoli & Isles, and it was a huge cliffhanger. They’d been chasing a bad guy who’d been leaving clues for Jane, which she thought led to her mother, but in the end, it was all a distraction to keep her from Maura, who was called to a fake crime scene…only to be kidnapped in the final seconds of the episode. I loved seeing the team rally around Jane to keep her safe. And I kind of loved Boris the bodyguard, played by Damon Dayoub (Det. Fisher from Stitchers), but I don’t think he’ll be back, at least not long-term.
The series will finish out this season and then have a shortened final season to end its run. Jane needs a man. Really, I want Chris Vance back as Casey, but I haven’t heard anything about her romantic life. So I guess I’ll have to wait and see. Tonight, there are two episodes back-to-back to welcome the show back to the TV schedule, so yay for that!
On tonight’s first episode, “Hide and Seek,†when Maura is abducted, nothing will stand in the way of Jane and the team bringing her home. Far away, Maura discovers a conspiracy that is bigger than just her kidnapping, with Jane as its ultimate target. Then on the second episode, “Murderjuana,†a security guard foils a robbery when he kills one of the robbers, despite being wounded himself. Jane and Maura work together to solve the case after the search for the robber’s accomplice raises some puzzling questions. Jane continues her quest to protect Maura and Angela. But is the price too high?
To see how Jane and the squad rescue Maura, tune in to TNT starting at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hollywood Game Night, NCIS, Team Ninja Warrior, Grandfathered, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Chicago Med, Junk Food Flip, The Little Couple, NCIS: NOLA, Chicago Fire, Chopped, Rattled, & The Shannara Chronicles.

What a fun, action-packed episode of The Flash last week! Barry, Wells, and Cisco traveled to Earth-2 in order to rescue Wells’s daughter from Zoom. Barry took the place of his Earth-2 self, only to discover that he was married to Iris and that Joe (a lounge singer) did not approve of him. However, Barry soon found himself face-to-face with Killer Frost (Caitlin’s doppelganger) and Deathstorm (Ronnie’s doppelganger). This had Cisco wondering who his alter was, but he didn’t have to wait long because Zoom’s middleman Reverb showed up, and he wanted Cisco to join the dark side with him. Zoom eventually joined the party himself, and the aftermath left Deathstorm dead and Barry trapped in a cage, next to Wells’s daughter Jesse and a mysterious man in a mask. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Caitlin convinced Jay to step in when meta-human Geomancer attacked Central City, demanding to see the Flash. While things didn’t necessarily go as planned, Jay survived, but he and Caitlin only have 24 hours left to figure out a way to get Barry, Cisco, and Harry back from Earth-2.
There were so many other fun things thrown into the Earth-2 world – such as Deadshot’s doppleganger being a horrible shot in Earth-2. I can’t wait to see the second half of this Earth-2 adventure tonight! Will Barry find a way to escape from Zoom’s lair? Who is this other prisoner? And will Caitlin find a way to get the gang back from Earth-2?
On tonight’s episode, “Escape From Earth-2,” on Earth-2, the team races to find Zoom’s lair and seeks help from the most unexpected source. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Caitlin rushes to perfect Velocity-9 so Jay can stop the Geomancer.
See if the team can make their way back to Earth-1 safely tonight on The CW at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Limitless, Fresh Off the Boat, The Muppets, Marvel’s Agent Carter, Hollywood Game Night, New Girl, Grandfathered, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Grinder, iZombie, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, Teen Wolf, and The Shannara Chronicles.
