Tonight is the series premiere of Talking with Chris Hardwick on AMC at 11/10c. Television’s number-one talk show host, Chris Hardwick, has a new extension series that provides an authentic take on today’s pop culture landscape with iconic celebrity guests. Talking with Chris Hardwick will feature live audience interactivity, giving fans a new destination to celebrate their favorite pop culture icons.
Tonight is also the series premiere of The Gorburger Show on Comedy Central at 12AM/11PMc. The show features a giant blue extra-terrestrial (voiced by T.J. Miller, Silicon Valley) who, after invading a Japanese television variety show and enslaving its staff, settles in as host in an attempt to understand what it means to be human. The Gorburger Show features celebrity interviews, musical guests, strange games and other random happenings. Guests include Rob Corddry, Larry King, Tig Notaro, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Reggie Watts, and more. The Gorburger Show is executive produced by T.J. Miller, who voices and puppets the title character.

Tonight is the series premiere of Help My Yelp on Food Network at 10/9c. In today’s culinary world, online reviews can make or break a restaurant…and in the new series Help My Yelp, chef and restaurant consultant Monti Carlo is on a mission to help struggling food businesses improve their food and service. In each episode, members of Yelp’s Elite Squad secretly visit the establishments and give their no-holds-barred feedback directly to the restaurant owners and Monti, who also uses undercover cameras to find out what’s really happening in the kitchen and at the tables. Armed with this behind-the-scenes knowledge about the restaurant’s problems, Monti brings on solutions, fixes, and fresh ideas, along with another chance for success — a visit from a different group of Yelp Elite Squad members who provide real-time feedback based on their experience at the new and improved restaurant.

Tonight is the complete “first” season premiere of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Original creator Joel Hodgson will be joined by comedian Jonah Ray (Jonah Heston) as the new host and Felicia Day (Geek & Sundry) as “Kinga Forrester.” A Kickstarter starter campaign, spearheaded by Hodgson and Shout! Factory, surpassed the goal of funding the production of 14 new episodes and set the world record as the highest-funded film and TV crowdfunding campaign in history. Mystery Science Theater 3000’s national broadcast life began in 1989. Set on the Satellite of Love, where a human host is trapped by mad scientists with his two robot sidekicks and forced to watch an endless run of B movies. The format proved to be popular, and during its eleven years and 198 episodes on the Comedy Channel and Sci-Fi Channel, it attained a loyal fan base and critical acclaim, including a Peabody Award and two Emmys(R) nominations.

Saturday is the series premiere of Class on BBC America at 10:10/9:10c. BBC AMERICA’s new Doctor Who spin-off, Class, comes from award-winning YA writer and executive producer, Patrick Ness (A Monster Calls), and is executive produced by Moffat and Minchin. The show will follow four Coal Hill School students who have hidden secrets and desires, navigate a life of friends, parents, school work, sex, sorrow — and possibly the end of existence. Coal Hill School has been a part of the Doctor Who universe since the very beginning, but that has come at a price.
