Tonight is the series premiere of American Gods on Starz at 9/8c. Adapted from Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed contemporary fantasy novel, the show posits a different kind of war brewing — one between Old Gods and New. The traditional Old Gods, with mythological roots from around the world, fear irrelevance as their believers die off or are seduced by the money, technology, and celebrity offered by the New Gods. Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle, The 100) is an ex-con who, left adrift by the recent death of his wife, becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to conman Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). But in truth, Mr. Wednesday is a powerful old deity, on a cross-country mission to build an army and reclaim his lost glory. Tonight is the series premiere of Truth & Iliza on Freeform at 10:02/9:02c. Comedian Iliza Shlesinger is bringing her incisive perspective to a new weekly late-night talk show, Truth & Iliza. The show will serve as a platform for Iliza’s societal observations and sketches fueled by her opinions as well as in-studio celebrity guest and expert interviews. The show will be centered around a themed question which Iliza will seek to answer using audience interaction, field pieces, commentary and, of course, jokes. Iliza will draw from her decade of stand-up experience to focus on the sociopolitical issues of the day, providing a forum for viewers to discuss everything from the necessary to the inane to the taboo.

Tonight is the series premiere of Second Wives Club on E! at 9/8c. In Hollywood, second wives are often painted as opportunistic women who swoop in to take advantage of everything their successful husbands have to offer. This show follows six women who are married or engaged to wealthy, powerful men. Shiva Safai, Katie Cazorla, Veronika Obeng, Shawna Craig, Tania Mehra, and Morisa Surrey may indulge in mermaid pool parties, live in multi-million dollar homes, and have luxury cars with champagne refrigerators, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have to navigate the complications that come with having stepchildren, managing their own careers, and being a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife.
