Tonight is the series premiere of Top Gear America on BBC America at 8/7c. With a nod to its UK roots, the series is hosted by racing enthusiast and veteran film and television actor William Fichtner, world champion drag racer Antron Brown, and premier British automotive journalist Tom “Wookie” Ford. Top Gear America will review not just exclusive and state-of-the-art vehicles, but also the cars of America’s culture-defining past. From the latest supercars to the ultimate in automotive engineering technology, the show will put the viewer in the passenger seat alongside the car-obsessed hosts, as they race the most incredible vehicles on the scenic highways and historic tracks of the American west. Each week will feature a different celebrity who will compete for top honor on the leader board at the new Top Gear studio and track, Speed Vegas. Of course, the one and only Stig, Top Gear’s mysterious test driver, will be leaving everyone in his petrol-hazed wake. Award-winning film and TV actor William Fichtner (Black Hawk Down, The Dark Knight, Armageddon, Lone Ranger, Prison Break) is a car nut and competitive racer. Antron Brown is a three-time NHRA Top Fuel Division world champion. Tom “Wookie” Ford was the Road Test Editor of CAR Magazine and previously appeared in BBCA’s Mud, Sweat and Gears. Tonight is the series premiere of Carspotting on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Nestled deep in the remote region of the Pacific Northwest are decades of preserved American muscle. Entrepreneurial brothers Carlos and Pedro, coupled with their car savant and best friend Niko, are in the business of recovering these hidden gems and re-glorifying the holy grails left for dead. Determined to make a name for themselves, the trio seek out the most sought after abandoned vehicles to turn big profits and keep their budding business afloat. Young, determined, and hungry for success, Carlos and his team will hustle to hunt and flip hidden relics to their former glory. Leaving no stone unturned, they scour the mountains, forests, and farmlands of the Pacific Northwest by foot and flight…whatever it takes. Once recovered, the team returns to the shop to assess their haul and get down and dirty revitalizing the classics. Stopping at nothing to get their hands on the hottest new projects, the scrappy team of friends and car-hunting gurus are breaking the industry mold and practices by ditching the rules of finding and flipping. But their methods are untested and it’s up to them to establish their dominance. Can the ambitious crew break out among seasoned pros, or will their blood, sweat, and tears go to waste?

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Know It All Guide To… on FYI at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. Whether cheese, chocolate, bacon, bread or beer…each episode will focus on everything you didn’t know about a different food type. Tent-pole segments include “how to” food hacks where you’ll learn how to make your own cheese, and factory visits where viewers will see how Swiss cheese gets its holes. We’ll hit the streets to explore some of the world’s best eateries, and ask the great American public, age-old culinary questions like “Monterey or Cheddar?” Food content has never been so snackable.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Siesta Key on MTV at 10/9c. This new docuseries follows a group of young adults confronting issues of love, heartbreak, betrayal, class, and looming adulthood as they spend the summer together in their beautiful hometown. The show tells the dramatic and gripping true story of the FBI’s hunt for the Unabomber, the deadliest serial bomber in history. The story focuses on FBI Agent and Criminal Profiler Jim “Fitz” Fitzgerald (played by Sam Worthington, Avatar, Hacksaw Ridge), who pioneered the use of forensic linguistics to identify and ultimately capture the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski (Paul Bettany, Gangster No. 1, Captain America: Civil War). As a fresh faced Criminal Profiler and the newest member of the Unabom Task Force (UTF), Fitz faced an uphill battle not just against the Unabomber — one of the most sophisticated and brilliant criminals in history — but also against the bureaucracy of the UTF itself as his maverick ideas and new approaches were dismissed by the system. The show also stars Jane Lynch (Glee, Angel from Hell, Hollywood Game Night), Chris Noth (Law & Order, Sex & the City), Elizabeth Reaser (Saved, The Ex List), Brian D’arcy James (Smash), Keisha Castle-Hughes (Roadies), Mark Duplass (The League, Togetherness), Ben Weber, Brian F. Tonight is the series premiere of Baroness von Sketch Show on IFC at 10/9c. Fast-paced and irreverent, Baroness von Sketch Show and its all-female cast draws upon 15 years of comedy experience and multiple collaborations to present an insightful, emotionally grounded series that captures the banalities and humor that comes from just trying to get along in the world. Offering a witty take on everyday concerns from the pretentiousness of ordering a fancy coffee to office and sexual politics, this satirical sketch comedy satirizes daily modern life. The show is created, written by and stars Meredith MacNeill and Second City alumni Carolyn Taylor, Aurora Browne, and Jennifer Whalen, who also all serve as executive producers alongside Jamie Brown.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Lowe Files on A&E at 10/9c. The show follows Rob Lowe and his two sons, Matthew and John Owen, as they travel through the country to explore infamous unsolved mysteries, a curiosity that Rob has had since his early childhood days and has now been passed down to his boys. In each episode, Rob, Matthew, and John Owen seek out a mysterious story or spooky legend and immerse themselves in the exploration and debate of the experience. While fun in spirit, the Lowes are able to conduct deliberate and scientific investigations on a highly-sophisticated level by meeting with top experts, using high-tech monitoring equipment and taking in-depth training courses. Their many missions, which will take them across the county, include: exploring an alien base located 2,000 feet underwater off the coast of Malibu, CA; working with a renowned shaman at Preston Castle, an abandoned boys’ reformatory; and training with a top-secret government operative in methods of Remote Viewing, a challenge to identify images from great distances. But for Rob, the ultimate goal in this undertaking is to create lasting memories with his two beloved sons who are on the verge of adulthood with their own lives, careers and families ahead of them.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of The Sinner on USA Network at 10/9c. The show follows a young mother (Jessica Biel) who, overcome by an inexplicable fit of rage, commits a startling act of violence and to her horror has no idea why. The event launches an inverted and utterly surprising crime thriller whose driving force is not the “who” or the “what” — but the “why” — as an investigator (Bill Pullman) finds himself obsessed with uncovering the woman’s buried motive. The show also stars Abby Miller, Chris Abbott, & Dohn Norwood. It’s based on Petra Hammesfahr’s book of the same name.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Guest Book on TBS at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. The show emerged from Emmy(R) winner and series creator Greg Garcia’s habit of writing fictitious stories in the guest books of various rental cabins in an effort to freak out the next renters. Now he is bringing those stories to life on TBS. While the house and cast of characters living in this small mountain town remain the same, each episode will feature a different set of vacationing guests. The Guest Book’s regular and recurring cast members include Kellie Martin (Army Wives) as Officer Kimberly Leahy, Charlie Robinson (Hart of Dixie) as Wilfrid, Aloma Wright (Suits) as Emma, Carly Jibson (Broadway’s Hairspray) as Vivian, and Frank, played by Lou Wilson (Tween Fest). Rounding out the first season cast is Garret Dillahunt (Raising Hope) as Andrew, Laura Bell Bundy (Scream Queens) as Jessica, and Eddie Steeples (My Name Is Earl) as Eddie.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Chris Gethard Show on TruTV at 11/10c. In this hour-long call-in talk show, Gethard attempts to ring-lead a panel of comedian friends and oddballs, along with a live studio audience, who participate in games, tackle bizarre stunts, and react to the controlled chaos around them. It’s a totally immersive, interactive experience for all.

Tonight is also the complete first season premiere of Comrade Detective on Amazon at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. In the 1980s, millions of Romanians tuned in to Comrade Detective, a gritty, sexy, communist buddy cop show that has now been digitally remastered and dubbed into English for the first time by a cast featuring Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Jenny Slate, Nick Offerman and many more.
