I hate story lines that deal with a woman who steals a baby after she loses her own. I mean, they’re always so sad. And Blue Bloods did a great job putting Jamie and Eddie up after Alice, a woman who did just that. You couldn’t help but feel bad for her, even while you knew she was in the wrong. Then there was the whole privacy laws on the side of the terrorists when the NYPD couldn’t get into the bomber’s phone… Ugh. That stuff ticks me off. The best part of that story was when Kelly Peterson was talking to Frank, and she said there was no talking to him when he was like that. Her “impression†of him was hysterical. “Back in my day…†haha And finally the mob guy who gave the DA’s office some info in order to get his son some leniency in the charges against him… This might have been one of only a couple of times that Danny and Anthony have ever agreed on something. Normally those two are at each other’s throats and coming at problems from completely opposite directions. Of course, this time they were right, given the fact that the mob guy actually set up the hit on the family himself in order to be able to report it to Erin.
Tonight’s the season finale, and what a season it’s been. Danny & his sons dealt with the loss of their wife/mother. Jamie dealt with Eddie being shot and realized yet again his feelings for her, as well as his dad trying to get him to apply for the sergeant’s exam. Frank said goodbye to both the mayor who’d become his friend and the temporary mayor who was getting less and less of a pain in his butt at time went by. Erin has been considering (or already started?) dating her ex-husband. Nicky dealt with sexual harassment/assault from her boss, which is quite relevant with what’s going on in the real world right now. So it’s been a big season for everyone.
On tonight’s episode, “My Aim is True,†when a series of drive-by murders occur after six wrongly convicted men are released from prison, Danny and Baez wonder if they were orchestrated by the men as an act of revenge. Also, Frank combats the guilt he feels about these innocent men unfairly serving nine years in prison, and Jamie and Eddie find themselves in a life-threatening situation.
To see how the season ends, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Blindspot & Hawaii Five-0.
