I’m excited because tonight is the season premiere of The Great Food Truck Race, and this season, they’re heading into the Wild West – or rather, the Southwest. Last season they headed south and spent time in Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, & more. This season, they’ll start off in Los Angeles before traveling to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Yuma, Coachella Valley (where, yes, Coachella takes place), and more. Tyler Florence once again hosts as seven teams battle it out to win the $50,000 prize.
On tonight’s episode, “Wagons Ho!†Tyler kicks off the race at a cattle ranch outside of Los Angeles, where he welcomes the seven teams with their first challenge. Each team must hand-squeeze a pitcher of orange juice in order to receive their seed money and keys to their truck. The trucks then head out to shop and prep for their first day selling on the busy streets of Los Angeles. The team that sells the least is sent home, while the other six head to the next city.
