Jenny’s Choice

I’m really enjoying Bob Hearts Abishola. Two episodes ago, Abishola started having romantic (not quite sexual, but going in that direction) dreams about Bob. Last week, she and Bob were chatting on their bench, in the snow, talking about the differences between America and Nigeria, and he asked her out to dinner in a really sweet moment. I loved how her family all dressed up before Bob picked her up. LOL The restaurant was kind of a snooty place, and when an older white couple looked askance at them for a moment, Bob made the joke that it was okay because they were from California. Abishola smirked and leaned over to tell them, “We’re also Jewish.” It made no sense really, but she got a kick out of it, and that made me laugh. Of course, then Bob tried to order steak and Abishola said no because of his heart. She shot down all of his decisions, and he ended up getting fish and spinach. It was totally something I could see an old married couple doing. LOL But then just as they were talking about doing something else instead of her going straight home, Bob’s sister called and said something weird was going on with their mother. After hearing the symptoms, Abishola said it sounded like their mom was having a stroke and to call 911. Sure enough, that’s what had happened. So the end of their date didn’t go like either of them thought it would, for sure! But even with such a serious topic, the show kept up the humor, sending Bob’s brother everywhere BUT the waiting area where Bob, Christina, and Abishola were waiting.

On tonight’s episode, “Tough Like a Laundromat Washing Machine,” Bob hires Abishola to take care of Dottie in his home while she recovers; Dottie has a hard time dealing with her limitations and takes it out on Abishola.

See how Abishola handles Dottie tonight on CBS at 8:30/7:30c.

I’ll also be watching 9-1-1, All Rise, Holiday Baking Championship, Rock the Block, Prodigal Son, & Christmas Cookie Challenge.

Megan’s Choice

It is great that Buck is finally back on the team again on 9-1-1, because that story line was a getting annoying. I love the show when the team is working together because that’s when they are at their best. Maddie’s crazy idea to befriend a woman who had called 911 during an incident of spousal abuse has been discovered by Chimney, the woman, and now Maddie’s supervisor. I’m glad they are forcing her to get help, because it is apparent Maddie has not fully dealt with all the issues causes by Doug. She has been a little loopy lately, but hopefully after counseling, she’ll be doing better. Finally, we have Eddie, who was participating in that crazy fight club thing after work, and he too obviously needs an intervention. I am hopeful now that Buck is back, he will be able to get through to his best friend. It is dangerous for Eddie, and if something happens to him, it is really going to affect Christopher, who has already gone through so much.

On tonight’s episode, “Athena Begins,” when a murder weapon from a case close to Athena in the early 90s resurfaces, flashbacks to 1989 show how Athena joined the LAPD and became the police officer she is today.

To see how Athena become the amazing woman she is today, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching The Voice, Prodigal Son, The Neighborhood, All Rise, Holiday Baking Championship, Bob Hearts Abishola, Bull, Bluff City Law, and The Good Doctor.
