Tonight is the series premiere of A Plan to Kill on Oxygen at 7/6c. This is a new true crime series that examines the stories of disturbed killers who spend weeks, months or even years viciously scheming and plotting the demise of their victims. With first-hand accounts from investigators who worked the cases and the loved ones of those slain, the series delves into the nefarious plans behind the murders to reveal just how far some people will go to take the life of someone they believe has wronged them.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Marlow Murder Club on PBS at 9/8c. On this all-new adaptation of Robert Thorogood’s novel The Marlow Murder Club, retired archaeologist and crossword setter Judith Potts believes that a brutal murder has taken place in the sleepy town of Marlow; when the police refuse to believe her story, she kicks off a private investigation with two unlikely friends. Samantha Bond (Downton Abbey, Home Fires) takes the lead as Judith Potts, alongside Jo Martin (Doctor Who, Back to Life) as Suzie Harris, Cara Horgan (The Sandman, Traitors) as Becks Starling, and Natalie Dew (Sandylands, The Capture) as DS Tanika Malik.

Tonight is the series premiere of Beyond: UFOs and the Unknown on MGM+ at 10/9c. Following revelations in 2017 of a secret government program studying UFOs buried deep within the Pentagon, many scientists, academics, and government officials stopped wondering whether UFOs were real and started asking: “what are they?” This journey led them far beyond machines in the sky, taking them down a rabbit hole of alien encounters, near-death experiences, remote viewing, and other seemingly unrelated paranormal phenomena. Using the most sophisticated techniques and searching for only credible evidence, they discovered frightening, perplexing, and eye-opening realities buried just beneath the surface of everyday life. The answers they brought back promise not only to rewrite our conception of UFOs, but to change everything we thought we knew about human consciousness, the afterlife, and our place in the universe.

Overnight was the premiere of Doc of Chucky on Shudder. This nearly 5-hour documentary is the ultimate account of the Child’s Play film franchise and Chucky, a horror villain for the ages. With contributions from cast, crew, critics, historians, and experts, as well as clips, photographs, archival documents, behind-the-scenes footage, and more, experience the making-of story that proves you can’t keep a good guy down in a series of films that have created an icon. It features interviews with Don Mancini, Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Catherine Hicks, Chris Sarandon, John Waters, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Perrey Reeves, Gerrit Graham, David Kirschner, and more.

Overnight was the premiere of the feature film Freedom on Amazon. Based on a true story of a renowned French gangster of the late 1970s and early 1980s, Freedom stars Lucas Bravo as Bruno Sulak, a highly charming criminal à la Arsène Lupin who orchestrated daring heists without firing a single shot. The film also charts Sulak’s cat-and-mouse game with George Moréas (Yvan Attal), a tenacious police commissioner, as well as his numerous escapes from prison and relationship with lover Annie, who is played by newcomer Léa Luce Busato.

Overnight was the premiere of the feature film Janet Planet on Max. In rural Western Massachusetts, 11-year-old Lacy spends the summer of 1991 at home, enthralled by her own imagination and the attention of her mother, Janet. As the months pass, three visitors enter their orbit, all captivated by Janet and her spellbinding nature. In her solitary moments, Lacy inhabits an inner world so extraordinarily detailed that it begins to seep into the outside world. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker captures a child’s experience of time passing, and the ineffability of a daughter falling out of love with her mother, in this singularly sublime film debut. It stars Julianne Nicholson, Zoe Ziegler, Elias Koteas, Will Patton, & Sophie Okonedo.

Overnight was the premiere of the documentary film Music by John Williams on Disney+. This all-new documentary on the life and career of the legendary composer features interviews with Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, Kate Capshaw, Gustavo Dudamel, J.J. Abrams, Chris Martin, Ron Howard, Chris Columbus, George Lucas, Itzhak Perlman, Lawrence Kasdan, Yo-Yo Ma, Ke Huy Quan, James Mangold, Alan Silvestri, David Newman, Thomas Newman, Seth MacFarlane, Anne-Sophie Mutter, and Branford Marsalis, whose lives have been touched by Williams’ timeless music.

Overnight was the premiere of the feature film The Contract on ALLBLK. A married couple enters into a contract to have a threesome and realizes what is most important to their marrage. It stars Matthew Lil Duval, Gabrielle Dennis, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Eric Roberts, Matthew Lawrence, & more.

Overnight was the premiere of the feature film The Dead Don’t Hurt on Paramount+. Pioneers Vivienne Le Coudy (Vicky Krieps) and Holger Olsen (Viggo Mortensen) fight for their lives – and love – on the American frontier during the Civil War. It also stars Solly McLeod, Garret Dillahunt, & more.

Tonight is the TV movie A Carol for Two on Hallmark at 8/7c. After moving to New York to make it on Broadway, Violette Wagner (Ginna Claire Mason) gets a job at Fiore’s, a legendary theater district diner, famous for its singing wait staff, who bide their time there, while awaiting that big break. Luck seems to be on her side when she gets a coveted slot, singing during Fiore’s annual Christmas Eve concert, which is attended by a who’s who of the theatre world. But her big opportunity turns out to be a duet with Alex (Jordan Litz), who has been less than welcoming, and believes she was only given the job because the owner of Fiore’s is a family friend. They’re stuck with each other, though, since people have been plucked out of that show and put right on Broadway. As they rehearse together, Alex’s cousin, Brad, takes an interest in Violette, and they begin dating but, unbeknownst to her, Alex has been feeding Brad information about her, Cyrano-style, to win her over. However, when Alex begins developing feelings for her as well, a love triangle ensues, and things come to a head when their deception is uncovered, which, in turn, threatens Violette and Alex’s big opportunity. It also stars Charlotte D’amboise.

Tonight is the premiere of the feature film God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust on Great American Pure Flix at 8/7c. In a time of profound political, civil, and spiritual turmoil, Reverend David Hill grapples with a crucial question: Does God still have a place in politics? Following the unexpected death of a favored congressional incumbent, David feels compelled to enter the race, challenging the increasing efforts to remove religious influence from public policy. Facing off against state senator Peter Kane, a formidable opponent determined to create greater division by pushing religion out of the public square, David must navigate the treacherous waters of modern politics, where his faith, optimism, and principles are put to the ultimate test. As he confronts adversaries from his past and faces relentless scrutiny, David’s campaign becomes a beacon of hope for many who yearn for spiritual and moral leadership in a divided nation. God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust explores the enduring relevance of faith in public life and the fight to keep religious values at the heart of governance. It stars David A.R. White, Dean Cain, Isaiah Washington, Scott Baio, Samaire Armstrong, Charlene Tilton, and Ray Wise, with guest appearances by Governor Mike Huckabee, Raymond Arroyo, and Newsboys.
