Sorry the schedule is up so late. We were on vacation most of the week (my husband & I), and so I didn’t really get to start until Saturday, and I just kind of took my time and didn’t rush it. Overnight was the 2-episode series premiere of Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order on AMC+. The show follows Guy Anatole, fresh out of law school and positioned for a bright future at a white-shoe firm in New York. He is approached and recruited by a mysterious woman who is a senior member of the Talamasca, a secretive organization devoted to surveilling the supernatural. As Guy is drawn further into this unknown world, he realizes he’s been enlisted for a singular and perilous purpose: to go undercover into the Talamasca’s London Motherhouse and unmask an agent who may be working with dangerous forces to bring down the entire organization from within, threatening the safety of the entire mortal world. Overnight was the series premiere of G.R.I.T.S. on ALLBLK. G.R.I.T.S. (Girls Raised in the South) follows Keisha (Jasmine Sargent), Ty (Ashanti Harris) and Francis (Aja “Slimeroni” Canyon), three young women coming of age in Memphis. Determined to define the next chapter in their lives, they find solace in their favorite pastime: roller skating. As they navigate grief, love, hustle and the underbelly of the city threatening to pull them down, a skating competition with life-changing prize money offers a glimmer of hope. In a world where the rink is their escape and survival is a full-time job, they rely on sisterhood and skating to outrun their past and build something real. When all else fails, lace up and skate until you can’t skate anymore.
