Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are geniuses, and the show 9-1-1 is another prime example of what can be produced and created in the hands of this creative team. The characters are funny, yet they still manage to be deep and relatable. Buck is one of the most relatable characters right now because he’s working on getting back into the dating scene without sleeping with whatever girls throw themselves at him. The funny thing is now that he’s developed a conscience, he is more aware of when someone is using him for sex…which his reporter lady friend is definitely doing. Watching Buck realize that his old moves are being used on him was hilarious, but in the end I hope Buck can find real love again because he deserves it.

Elsewhere, Chimney and Maddie realized they are moving along into a relationship without actually labeling it. I completely support this and think they need to move forward with the relationship fully. I’m just waiting for Buck and Chimney to have to save Maddie when her ex-husband shows up, because we all know no one can escape their past on this show.

On tonight’s episode, “Hen Begins,” Hen relives her evolution into the firefighter she is today as she recalls the first times she met Chimney and Athena.

To take this stroll down memory lane, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching The Resident, The Voice, The Good Doctor, Magnum PI, The Neighborhood, Happy Together, Holiday Baking Championship, Arrow, and Manifest.

Station 19 has wasted no time pulling on our heart strings and keeping us on the edge of our seats this season. Sullivan has tried being extremely hard on the firefighters at the station house, but that backfired when he got offside and Andrea yelled at him. She apologized, but I think she actually got through to Sullivan, because he is now trying to get to know his team and wants to have a meaningful chat with Andrea sometime when they’re off duty. I’m interested to see if he can win her over so the rest of the house follows suit.

On a different note, this Bailey and Ben separation is emotionally draining for me! When Bailey was sobbing and told him that worrying about him was literally breaking her heart, I cried right along with her…but she needs to get over it. She needs to understand that he is a firefighter now, and if she loves him, she will learn to deal with it.

On tonight’s episode, “Weather the Storm,” as the team gathers for a Friendsgiving celebration at Dean’s, a violent windstorm touches down in Seattle. As the storm picks up speed, creating dangerous fire conditions, the crew must put the festivities on hold and report for duty, leaving some of them in a life-threatening situation.

To watch the team deal with the crazy storm, tune in to ABC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, I Feel Bad, Legacies, Grey’s Anatomy, S.W.A.T., and The Good Place.

If you’re a fan of shows like American Idol or The Voice and like country music, then you might want to check out Real Country on USA Network tonight. In each hour-long episode, country stars Shania Twain, Jake Owen, and Travis Tritt will hand-select emerging solo artists, duos, and groups to perform in showcases that spotlight the rich traditions, songs, and themes of country music. The best artists from each showcase will perform in a two-hour grand finale, for the chance to be named one of country music’s next breakout acts. In each episode, there will be a guest star, including Trace Adkins, Wynonna Judd, & more, and it’s hosted by Graham Bunn, from Southern California’s radio station Go Country 105.

On tonight’s episode, “Drink Up and Party Down,” a panel of music icons and celebrity guests search for country music’s next breakout musical acts. Joined by special guests, Big & Rich.

See if this new show’s for you tonight on USA Network at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Conners, NCIS, The Kids Are Alright, Chopped, FBI, Lethal Weapon, The Little Couple, NCIS: New Orleans, The Rookie, & The Guest Book.

Among other things, one of South Park’s trademark moves over the last two decades has been really over-the-top holiday episodes, and last week’s Halloween episode completely delivered! There were two initial plot threads that they eventually sewed together wonderfully, and the whole thing was narrated by future Kenny, in a meta-irony move. For years Kenny’s gimmick (other than reincarnation) has been how he’s always wearing that orange hoodie and we can’t make out all the foul-mouthed stuff he says. So hearing him reminisce about the “last great Halloween” like he was Kevin Arnold on The Wonder Years was hilarious.

The one plot centered on how these free scooters that had popped up all over town terrorized and infuriated the usually calm guidance counselor Mr. Mackey. He dragged the thousands of free “leave ’em anywhere” scooters into the woods, but they all came back the next day. The only thing you needed to use the scooters was a smart phone, as they were powered by a phone app. Which was seriously impacting Kenny because he was too poor to have a smart phone. All of the other kids his age would be using the free scooters to expand their trick or treating range, and he’d be left in the proverbial dust.

When Kenny went to Mr. Mackey with his problem, they both realized the phone app was their biggest issue, so they set out to destroy the local cellphone tower. Another funny thing they did with Kenny for this episode, as I guess they had to, was make his voice a lot less muffled as he and Mr. Mackey “saved the day” so to speak. It was South Park in a very self-aware moment, to say the least. Once the tower was destroyed, Kenny rejoined his best friends, who could no longer use the scooters, and they went on to have the “last great Halloween” together. For costume selection, I vote that Cartman won for his rad rendition of Snake Plisken, main character in the Escape From… films. This was an instant classic that won’t be enough to stop them when they try to #CancelSouthPark; (That hashtag, btw, is a joke that they run on Twitter to send you extra South Park promo tweets!)

On tonight’s episode, “Time to Get Cereal,” when dead citizens start popping up all over town, the boys realize they need Al Gore’s help. The boys are willing to do almost anything to save the town and themselves but it may just be too late.

Don’t miss another fun episode tonight on Comedy Central at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, the season finale of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, American Horror Story, and Stan Against Evil (which I just discovered and am catching up on now).

I have a double pick tonight, season premieres of Holiday Baking Championship & Christmas Cookie Challenge on Food Network. In the first, host Jesse Palmer, along with judges Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman, and Lorraine Pascale, test the skills of nine talented bakers. The winner of the competition will earn the $25,000 grand prize and be featured in an original video on FoodNetwork.com and in a feature in Food Network Magazine. Some of the rounds these bakers have to go through seem easy and some seem very difficult, but as a viewer, they’re always a lot of fun to watch! In Christmas Cookie Challenge, host Eddie Jackson returns with lead judge Ree Drummond this holiday season to challenge festive and talented cookie makers. Each episode features five daring cookie makers proving their holiday skills through two rounds, as Eddie and Ree are joined by a rotating panel of guest judges, including Stephanie Boswell, Vivian Chan, Dan Langan, Jordan Pilarski, Gesine Prado, Aarti Sequeira, and Molly Yeh to help determine which bakers will have the best Christmas ever, walking away with a $10,000 prize. The prize isn’t as big as the first show, but the challenges are just as difficult. You’d think cookie making and decorating isn’t a hard thing, but you’d be wrong. Don’t believe me? Watch the show! It’s crazy.

On tonight’s episode of Holiday Baking Championship, “Holiday Essentials,” the pumpkin spice phenomenon hits the championship; for the pre-heat, nine bakers attempt to wow the judges with creative pumpkin spiciness; in the main heat, the bakers must combine a yule log with a classic holiday treat.

Then on tonight’s episode of Christmas Cookie Challenge, “Christmas Vacation,” five cookie makers enter the workshop to find host Eddie Jackson lounging in a beach chair under a palm tree; the bakers are challenged to create cookies perfect for a Christmas in the tropics.

Don’t miss all the holiday baking fun tonight on Food Network starting at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing 9-1-1 & Magnum P.I.
