Tonight, Showtime kicks off the new comedy series White Famous, which centers around the exploits of rising black comedian Floyd Mooney (Jay Pharoah, SNL) as he deals with career and relationship issues. Floyd is still in love with ex/baby mama Sadie (Cleopatra Coleman, The Last Man on Earth), and the two still hook up on occasion. Floyd also has a great relationship with son Trevor (Lonnie Chavis) and is an active and present father to him. However, Floyd now lives with best friend Ron Balls (Jacob Ming Trent, Feed the Beast), who often serves as his voice of reason. Meanwhile, Floyd’s ambitious manager Malcolm (Utkarsh Ambudkar, The Mindy Project) is constantly looking for the next big opportunity to help his client to become “white famous” – so famous that he transcends color.

The series has a nice blend of humor and interesting character drama. The pilot does a great job of introducing the characters and relationships and has some really fun moments. Jay Pharoah was always great at doing impressions on SNL, and they’ve found an organic way to work his comedy and impressions into the show. Plus, if the premiere is any indication, this series is going to have a great supporting cast – tonight’s 1-hour premiere features Stephen Tobolowsky and Jamie Foxx. The main criticism I have of the show is its excessive language – there are so many F-bombs dropped in this first hour!

On tonight’s first episode, “Pilot,” a racially-charged encounter with a film producer goes viral, presenting an opportunity to a young comic, if he is willing to bend his principles. Then, in “Heat,” Malcolm pushes Floyd to commit to his next project; Trevor tours an expensive private school; Sadie comes clean about a relationship.

Don’t miss the premiere of the latest TV comedy tonight on Showtime at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Ten Days in the Valley, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Ghosted, Family Guy, The Last Man on Earth, Fear the Walking Dead, Good Behavior, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Tonight The CW sees the return of musical comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. As the second season came to a close, Rebecca and Josh were preparing for their wedding, though it was Rebecca who was doing most of the planning. Rebecca’s father returned, but instead of giving her the nod of approval she always yearned for, he was just there to ask for money. Meanwhile, Josh started to have doubts and ultimately decided to call off the wedding. He then made the extreme choice to become a priest. Rebecca, distraught from this news, was about to jump off a cliff when Paula talked her down. Now the only thing on Rebecca’s mind is getting revenge on Josh Chan.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend can be soapy, campy, and over-the-top, but that’s what makes it so much fun – along with the hilarious musical numbers in each episode. I’m really looking forward to tonight’s premiere to see what Rebecca has in store for her revenge plan. Will Josh really become a priest? Will Rebecca finally move on and find someone else to obsess about? What other crazy situations will these people get up to? And what kind of extremely inappropriate song topics/lyrics can we look forward to this season?

On tonight’s premiere, “Josh’s Ex-Girlfriend Wants Revenge,” Rebecca plots revenge against Josh after he abandoned her at the altar. Meanwhile, White Josh and Darryl work on some problems; and Paula and Scott confront some unusual issues in their marriage.

Catch up with Rebecca and her friends tonight on The CW at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Marvel’s Inhumans, Jane the Virgin, Room 104, and Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus.

Tonight, Mr. Robot returns to USA Network to kick off its third season. Last season Elliot went off the grid in an attempt to completely get rid of Mr. Robot. But no matter how hard he tried, his alter ego kept resurfacing. Meanwhile, Darlene took the lead at fsociety, and the group broke into the home of an E Corp lawyer, using it as their new headquarters. Darlene tried to get answers from the Dark Army about what Stage 2 is, but the only information she was able to obtain was that it was Elliot’s plan, and he couldn’t remember anything about it. Meanwhile, FBI Agent Dom DiPierro was looking into both fsociety and the Dark Army – which nearly proved fatal for her. After the diner shootout, she interrogated Darlene, showing her a blackboard with the entire fsociety member hierarchy laid out. In the second season finale, we learned that Tyrell was alive, but Elliot was convinced that he, too, was just in his head – an idea that was quickly disproved when Tyrell shot him.

Could Tyrell still be a figment of Elliot’s imagination? Anything is possible – Elliot could have just shot himself! But if Tyrell is all in his head, who is going to call for help?! What is Stage 2 of the Dark Army’s plan? What evil plan does E Corp going to hatch next on the public? And can Darlene talk her way out of Dom’s seemingly closed case?

Tonight’s third season premiere opens right where we left off, with Elliot lying on the ground, bleeding from a gunshot wound. While the opener won’t address all the open questions, we do get to meet a really fun new character played by Bobby Cannavale! Also, in each of the first two seasons, the series built to a big twist or reveal, and I can’t wait to see what this year’s “Holy crap!” moment will be. I’m looking forward to another exciting season of crazy twists and turns.

On tonight’s premiere, “Eps3.0_Power-Saver-Mode.H,” when Elliot suddenly becomes aware of his situation and realizes the mission he needs to embark on, he seeks Angela’s help; Darlene gets upset about them potentially coming out clean; Elliot deals with a mysterious new person.

Find out what help Elliot seeks from Angela tonight on USA Network at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Goldbergs, Speechless, Modern Family, American Housewife, Designated Survivor, Survivor, The Blacklist, Riverdale, Dynasty, Worst Cooks in America, You’re the Worst, The Shannara Chronicles, Channel Zero: No-End House, and Mr. Mercedes.

Tonight, the fourth season of The Flash begins on The CW. As the third season came to a close, Team Flash had its final showdown with speedster Savitar, who turned out to be a future version of Barry. In the process, H.R. sacrificed himself to save Iris, Caitlin learned there’s a cure for her condition, Cisco modified Savitar’s stolen Speed Cannon so that it would release Jay Garrick from prison, and Gypsy returned from across the multiverse to save Cisco. During the final altercation, Barry couldn’t bring himself to kill Savitar, but Iris was more than willing to do the deed, shooting him dead. Afterwards, Central City was being rocked by earthquakes. The Speed Force was unstable and the prison needed a replacement, so Barry volunteered to go, since all of this mess was due to his selfish acts. Meanwhile, Caitlin refused to take the cure, as she wanted to figure out who she really was.

Who will step up to protect Central City in Barry’s absence? How and when will Barry return from the Speed Force, and how will his time there have affected him? With Caitlin refusing to take the cure, is there a danger of her becoming evil again? With H.R. dead, will we see another version of Dr. Wells appear to take his place?

The third season was a bit of a downer, with Barry constantly moping about something or further messing things up due to his selfishness. Also, it was the third year in a row where the big villain was yet another speedster. The producers have promised to address these issues this season, getting this back to a more chill Barry and the lighter, more fun show people loved in the first season. Also, this year the big bad will not be yet another speedster! The Flash still remains my favorite of The CW’s superhero shows, and I’m looking forward to another season.

On tonight’s premiere, “The Flash Reborn,” a powerful armored villain threatens to level Central City if the Flash doesn’t appear, so Cisco makes a risky decision to break Barry out of the speed force. But the Barry that comes out isn’t the same Barry that went in.

Find out what’s different about Barry since his return tonight on The CW at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, Fresh Off the Boat, black-ish, The Mayor, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, The Mick, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, American Horror Story: Cult, and Chrisley Knows Best.

My favorite new show so far this season is NBC’s The Brave. I’m loving Mike Vogel as Dalton, but the dynamic of the whole team together is great. The premise is a lot of fun too. I’ve loved last week’s episode, where a bad-ass female CIA officer walked into the undercover CIA office in the Russian-stronghold portion of Ukraine to find her two coworkers shot to death and bad guys still in the office. She ended up taking them all out herself even after being shot. During the hour, she was kidnapped and stabbed, but she rocked it, able to keep herself pretty damn safe until Dalton and his team arrived. We also learned a surprising fact about Noah, in that he was top of his class at “spy school.” One thing I was disappointed about was that after the major cliffhanger of the premiere, where the bad guy drove the truck bomb onto the beach where the team had been hanging out and playing soccer with the kids, we didn’t jump back into that story line. In fact, we only got one mention of it at all, where we learned that there had been deaths and injuries of some of the civilians. It was kind of a letdown. Other than that, I’m really enjoying the show, as is my family.

On tonight’s episode, “The Greater Good,” after receiving intel that a serious player in dealing international arms, Ranier Boothe (guest star Andrew Howard), will be visiting Caborca, Mexico, Patricia makes a controversial decision that could lead to a big breakthrough. With Dalton’s team on the ground, they must find a weak link in Boothe’s men in order to carry out the mission. Meanwhile, Noah learns about Hannah’s complicated past in the field.

Find out more about Hannah’s past and see if Dalton’s team can take down some arms dealers tonight on NBC at 10:01/9:01c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory, Dancing with the Stars, 9JKL, The Gifted, Halloween Baking Championship, Halloween Wars, Scorpion, & The Good Doctor.
