ncisnola1025smallLast week was a defining episode for Sebastian on NCIS: New Orleans. While his mom was in town, he was kidnapped by a small group of people who wanted his knowledge of virtual reality games (specifically ones where you break out of prisons and locked rooms, etc.) to help break a bad guy out of prison. Sebastian kind of rocked it… He reached out secretly via tablet to Pride when the bad guy left him alone in a room in the prison so Sebastian could start the process to break out the prisoner. After the bad guys nearly got away, Sebastian actually helped take them down after the left the prison. He felt so confident that he asked out the waitress he’d been sort of flirting with for a while.

I didn’t like that Percy wasn’t there last week, especially because Lasalle didn’t know why she wasn’t there. Stupid writers… Giving us shippers some hope and then yanking it away! LMAO Tonight looks like it should be a good episode…an emotional one. I can’t wait!

On tonight’s episode, “Course Correction,” NCIS and FBI investigate a private plane crash in the bayou that killed three sailors. Also, Sonja and Lasalle interview candidates for the team’s open agent position.

See if they can figure out what caused the plane crash tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped Junior, NCIS, American Housewife, Bull, MasterChef Canada, No Tomorrow, Aftermath, Chicago Fire, & Chopped.

manwithaplan1024smallTonight, Matt LeBlanc (Friends, Episodes) returns to network TV in the new CBS sitcom Man with a Plan. LeBlanc stars as Adam, a contractor who is forced to become a more active parent to his three kids when wife Andi (Liza Snyder, Yes, Dear) decides to go back to work after being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years. Adam is in for quite a shock as he discovers just how much work goes into taking care of the children – preteen daughter Kate (Grace Kaufman, The Last Ship), middle child Teddy (Matthew McCann), and youngest Emme (Hala Finley), who’s just starting kindergarten. The series also stars Jessica Chaffin (Episodes), Diana Maria Riva (Telenovela), Matt Cook (Clipped), and Kevin Nealon (Saturday Night Live).

Back in May, I saw the original pilot for this series, where Jenna Fischer was originally playing the wife. While I wasn’t really blown away, the episode did have some fun moments and potential. I like the fish-out-of-water premise of Adam trying to figure out how to be a parent and learning how to not be played by the kids. And I’m particularly interested to see how the addition of Liza Snyder to the cast changes things, especially with her experience on a long-running family sitcom. I think this series will make a good companion to Kevin Can Wait, which also has a similar classic/retro sitcom feel to it.

On tonight’s premiere, “Pilot,” a contractor becomes a stay-at-home dad after his wife goes back to work.

Meet Adam and his family tonight on CBS at 8:30/7:30c

I’ll also be watching/recording Timeless, Gotham, Lucifer, Supergirl, and Jane the Virgin.

thewalkingdead1023smallTonight, The Walking Dead returns to finally answer the question that’s on everyone’s minds… Who was at the receiving end of Lucille’s brutal blows?! As the sixth season came to an end, Negan and his Saviors had corralled Rick and the gang into a trap. Negan forced his captives to get on their knees in a line, and then he told them he was going to beat one of them to death with his barbed-wire covered baseball bat. As the season faded out we could hear the gruesome attack but it wasn’t revealed who the victim was. Which of the eleven—Glenn, Maggie, Daryl, Rick, Abraham, Carl, Michonne, Rosita, Sasha, Aaron, or Eugene—was brutally murdered?!

I was really upset when they left us hanging at the end of last season, but even at that point the writers didn’t know which character was going to get killed. And word is that in order to help prevent tonight’s huge reveal from getting spoiled, they actually filmed all 11 death scenes! I can’t wait for tonight’s episode, and I’m hoping one of my favorites isn’t the one whose brains Negan is wiping off of Lucille. I’m really interested to see the aftermath and how long the group will play by Negan’s rules before they ultimately revolt against him – and are hopefully more successful the second time around.

On tonight’s premiere, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be,” Negan’s actions will haunt the surviving members of Rick’s group forever.

To see who survives tonight, tune in to AMC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Quantico, Madam Secretary, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Son of Zorn, Family Guy, The Last Man on Earth, Worst Bakers in America, The Strain, Eyewitness, and Westworld.

crazyexgirlfriend1021smallTonight, The CW’s musical comedy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, returns for its second season. When the first season left off, Paula was extremely disappointed that Rebecca had lied to her about sleeping with Greg – especially with everything she had done to help Rebecca try to win over Josh. Rebecca asked Greg to go with her to Josh’s sister’s wedding (ignoring the fact that she had been uninvited). At the wedding, Josh told Rebecca she looked beautiful but then warned her about Greg’s dark side. Greg’s insecurity and his plentiful drinking at the wedding caused him to misread some glances between Rebecca and Josh, and he thought Rebecca was planning to break up with him. Josh went home to sleep it off. Meanwhile Valencia tried to pressure Josh to propose at the wedding, but when she realized he was still into Rebecca, she called it quits. Outside, Josh confessed his love for Rebecca, and they finally kissed. Rebecca was so happy that she accidentally dropped her guard and told Josh the stalkery truth about her move to West Covina – and he looked totally freaked out.

Will Josh still feel the same about Rebecca now that he knows the truth? How will Greg react when he hears about Rebecca kissing (and possibly sleeping with) Josh? Who will Rebecca choose? And will Paula ever forgive Rebecca? I’m sure her getting together with Josh would surely help in that matter! I’m looking forward to another fun-filled season of wacky antics and witty songs.

On tonight’s premiere, “Where Is Josh’s Friend?” Rebecca is convinced that Josh is in love with her, and Greg is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Paula comes to terms with what drove her obsession with Rebecca’s love life; and Darryl and White Josh try to navigate their new relationship.

Find out what’s happening with Rebecca’s love life tonight on The CW at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Black Mirror, MacGyver, Hamilton’s America, Z Nation, Van Helsing, and Quarry.

rockyhorrorsmallTonight, FOX airs its reimagining of the cult-classic 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The new 2-hour event musical, The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again, is directed by legend Kenny Ortega (High School Musical, Newsies). When their car breaks down, straight-laced engaged couple Janet Weiss (Victoria Justice, Victorious) and Brad Majors (Ryan McCartan, Liv and Maddie) find their way to a mysterious castle, where they are welcomed in by an odd hunchbacked man name Riff-Raff (Reeve Carney, Penny Dreadful). They soon meet the master of the house—the sexually-ambiguous and flirtatious mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Laverne Cox, Orange Is the New Black), who’s hosting a huge party to unveil his latest creation, Rocky Horror (Staz Nair, Game of Thrones)—a young Adonis built for his pleasure. And this is just the start of the crazy, debaucherous night that lies ahead for Brad and Janet as they meet the rest of the Transylvanians and discover their other-worldly plans. There’s singing, dancing, and all kinds of craziness!

The production also stars original Frank-N-Furter Tim Curry as the Criminologist Narrator, Christina Milian (Grandfathered) as maid Magenta, Annaleigh Ashford (Masters of Sex) as groupie Columbia, Adam Lambert as ex-delivery boy Eddie, Ben Vereen as rival scientist Dr. Everett Scott, and Ivy Levan as Usherette.

It seems like every network is doing live musical productions these days, so I find it a bit odd that FOX has decided to go the pre-recorded route, but I’m very curious to see this new take on this cult classic, especially with an actual transgender actress playing the lead transsexual character. Will a certain element of the show be lost with this casting, or will this version feel like something completely fresh and new? It’s great to see that Tim Curry is a part of this latest take on the phenomenon he helped to create. I can’t wait to do the time warp again tonight!

Do the time warp again tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Grey’s Anatomy, Superstore, The Good Place, The Blacklist, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, 60 Days In, and Falling Water.
