Have you always watched those Bear Grylls survival shows and wished you were there with him, participating in the adventure? Well, now’s your chance! In the new interactive Netflix series, You vs. Wild, you are Bear’s partner on his worldwide adventures, and you get to decide how things will play out. Much like the recent Black Mirror: Bandersnatch special, each episode of the series will prompt the viewer at several points, offering a pair of options. Your decisions will change the course of the story. Which supplies will you choose to pack? Will you follow the river or bushwack through the jungle? Will you climb the mountain or repel down? Will you try to cross a chasm via a fallen log or swing your way across like Tarzan? Which of the two mysterious caves will you choose to enter? Your decisions could mean life or death!

I really enjoyed the interactive Black Mirror episode, and I’ve been a fan of Bear’s other shows over the years, so I was really excited to check out this show this morning. Would I make the right calls, or would I end up leading Bear and myself down a perilous path? I can’t lie…I was purposely trying to pick the most dangerous options to see if Bear would survive. 🙂 While each episode is only around 20 minutes long, there are so many options to go back and replay that you could easily spend an hour or so on each. And if you do manage to get Bear stuck in a situation that he can’t get out of, the program will give you the option of going back to your last choice to select the other option.

The first episode, “Operation Jungle Rescue, Pt. 1,” finds you and Bear heading into the jungle to look for a missing doctor who was on a mission to deliver malaria vaccines to children in a remote village.

Check out the complete first season now on Netflix!

I’ll also be watching/recording The Goldbergs, Schooled, Modern Family, Whiskey Cavalier, What We Do in the Shadows, Schitt’s Creek, The Magicians, and Happy!

Tonight is the series premiere of The Code on CBS. Half drama, half procedural, this new legal thriller is about the active-duty Marines who are also attorneys working out of the Judge Advocate General Headquarters in Quantico. They are trained as a prosecutor, a defense lawyer, and an investigator and choose to serve their country in pursuit of military justice at home and overseas. Luke Mitchell (Blindspot, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Tomorrow People) stars as Captain John “Abe” Abraham, a driven prosecutor who comes from a family of Marines. Anna Wood (Falling Water, Deception, Reckless) plays his colleague and friend, Captain Maya Dobbins, the lead defense attorney not afraid to go up against one of her own but also a team player if the situation calls for it. Ato Essandoh (Chicago Med, Altered Carbon, Blue Bloods, Copper) plays Major Trey Ferry, Abe’s superior officer and friend. One of my favorite actresses, Dana Delaney (Hand of God, Body of Proof, Desperate Housewives) stars as commanding officer Colonel Glenn Turnbull, one of the highest-ranking female officers in the Judge Advocate Corps. She’s tough but fair and demands an excellence in herself and her staff. And finally, assisting the team is Lt. Harper Li (played by Phillipa Soo, Smash), a highly capable lawyer who is eager to take on bigger cases, and tech-savvy, efficient Warrant Officer Rami Ahmadi (played by Raffi Barsoumian, The Vampire Diaries), the Marine equivalent of a paralegal.

I’ve seen the first episode quite enjoyed it. It’s a bit too much drama for me, but I love the cast so much (Besides the ever delightful Delany, I loved Mitchell on Blindspot, Wood on Reckless, & Essandoh on Chicago Med & Blue Bloods) and the military and procedural aspects of it that I’m in for at least a few more episodes.

On tonight’s episode, “Blowed Up,” when a soldier in Afghanistan murders his commanding officer, Capt. John “Abe” Abraham and Capt. Maya Dobbins, working out of the Judge Advocate General Headquarters in Quantico, Va., are assigned to the case as prosecution and defense lawyers.

Meet TV’s newest attorneys tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

Tonight, the second season of Killing Eve premieres, but this year it will be airing on both BBC America and AMC, so those who don’t receive BBC America can finally watch this amazing series!

In the first season, we met Eve (Sandra Oh, Grey’s Anatomy), an MI5 security officer who had grown bored by her desk job. So when she learned that an international female assassin had made her way to London, she jumped at the chance to join a secret MI6 unit trying to track down this mysterious Vilanelle (Jodie Comer, Doctor Foster). The more Eve read of Vilanelle’s exploits, the more she became obsessed with this woman. Meanwhile, we saw the charming, funny, and very much insane Vilanelle carrying out her killing spree, ignoring and eventually killing her own handler. She also became obsessed with Eve, and the pair started a mutual game of cat and mouse with one another.

Eventually the pair met face-to-face when Vilanelle broke into Eve’s home and demanded they have dinner together. Later, Eve tracked Vilanelle to a Russian prison, but she managed to escape before Eve could find her. Eve finally caught up with her in Paris, where she caught Vilainelle by surprise as she unexpectedly plunged a knife into her chest.

Don’t let her funny and charming demeanor fool you… Vilanelle is still a ruthless killer – she murdered Eve’s longtime friend/coworker. Despite this, Eve still finds herself inexplicably drawn to this woman. And likewise, Vilanelle feels something for Eve. As we start the second season, Eve is unsure if she killed Vilanelle or not. On one hand, Eve would love to put an end to Vilanelle’s murder spree, but on the other hand, she feels horrible that she may have murdered this woman she has become strangely attracted to.

I really enjoyed the first season – while Sandra Oh won the Golden Globe for her performance, it is Jodie Comer who really makes the show for me. She is amazing in this series. Like Eve, I find myself completely fascinated with and drawn to Vilanelle. She’s a psychopathic killer but so delightful at the same time! It feels wrong to root for her, but I can’t help it! I am happy to report that the second season, which picks up right where we left off, is just as fun, exciting, and shocking as the first. I can’t wait to see more of it!

On tonight’s premiere, “Do You Know How to Dispose of a Body?” Eve is reeling from her act of violence against Villanelle and doesn’t know whether she is alive or dead; a paranoid and severely injured Villanelle manages to get herself to the hospital for treatment; Carolyn approaches Eve with an opportunity.

Find out what opportunity Eve receives tonight on AMC & BBC America at 8/7c.

It has been a couple weeks since we’ve had a new episode of MacGyver, and I’m starting to go through withdrawal. Thankfully we will all get our fix tonight. This show not only has action and humor, but the cast has incredible chemistry. Jack leaving was hard, but in the end the team is adjusting quite well and I really like Desi. She has a unique chemistry with Mac that I hope will end up in a relationship for those two.

On tonight’s episode, “Murdoc + Helman + Hit,” when Nicholas Helman resurfaces to carry out a killing spree, the Phoenix is forced to get help from the one person who knows him best… His protégé, Murdoc.

To see if the team can get the help they need from Murdoc, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods, and Proven Innocent.

Last week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy was an emotional roller coaster, especially concerning Jo’s visit to her birth mother. It was heartbreaking to see Jo learn that she was conceived when her birth mother was raped. That is a burden no child should ever have to know. On top of that, Jo is pulling away from Alex, which I’m sure is going to get worse before it gets better. Here’s hoping they can work it out before their marriage is destroyed.

On tonight’s episode, “The Whole Package,” Owen and Teddy have to deal with the surprise arrival of Megan Hunt, who knows nothing about their situation. Catherine preps for her first surgery back on a war veteran who’s not emotionally prepared for his procedure. Meredith worries about DeLuca operating alone with Richard.

To see how the arrival of Owen’s sister affects everyone, tune in to ABC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Station 19, Abby’s, For the People, Law & Order: SVU, and S.W.A.T.
