Jenny’s Choice

bones57smallLast week was another great episode of Bones. A TV celebrity chef was killed, and leads took Booth and Brennan to the Royal Diner. Thankfully, they were innocent. The killer turned out to be the chef’s producer, who was angry that the chef was looking to partner with someone new. The best part of the episode was Hodgins, who — after advice from squintern Jessica — invented a new product that protected beakers and other glass products from breaking. It could be used to wrap around breakable products or as flooring in case they’re dropped. Then he sold it…for forty million dollars to start out with. Crazy. That’s good for Hodgins & Angela, who lost all their money when Pelant stole it.

I’m worried about Booth and his gambling. I know it’s going to affect his relationship with Brennan, so I worry how much it’ll affect it, especially now with her being pregnant. Tonight’s two episodes should shed more light on it, but I’ve got my fingers crossed that it isn’t too bad!

On tonight’s first episode, “The Lost in the Found,” when the remains of a private high school student are discovered in a ditch, Brennan and Booth surmise that bullying was a factor. When Brennan discovers similarities between her own teen years and the victim’s, it leads the team to question whether or not the girl’s death was, in fact, a murder. Then on “The Verdict in the Victims,” with only 48 hours before the execution of serial killer Alex Rockwell, whom Brennan and Booth helped convict, the Jeffersonian team must race against the clock to confirm Brennan’s new suspicion that Rockwell may not have been responsible for those crimes.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/6/15

Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight! (Thanks for hanging in while we took a break. Spending a week in the hospital is a week too long! I’m glad to be home!)

Kyle’s Choice

survivorswasmallOn last week’s Survivor, Mike made a big move. He knew the big alliance was planning to vote out Shirin, but he wanted physical threat Tyler to go. So he pulled out his hidden immunity idol and claimed that he was going to give it to Shirin. He said that he would be voting for Tyler, and Shirin would be voting for one other random member of their alliance, so they could join him in voting for Tyler or risk being the one voted out by their own alliance. In the end, Mike didn’t give Shirin his idol and the alliance called his bluff, voting her out. However, Tyler and Dan each got votes, and Dan now knows he is the low man in his alliance.

Mike is seeming safe for another week, since he has his idol, and Dan still has his somewhat secret extra vote power (which Tyler learned about by rummaging through Dan’s bag). Will Dan partner up with Mike? Will the others now realize that Tyler is a threat and try to eliminate him? Who will be the next person to win immunity, and who will be the next person voted out? It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out!

On tonight’s episode, “Holding On for Dear Life,” a reward challenge gives the winning castaways a chance to deliver supplies to a local orphanage. Later, players must scramble after a crazy tribal council leaves some on the outs.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/5/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight! (Thanks for hanging in while we took a break. Spending a week in the hospital is a week too long! ncisnola55smallLast week’s NCIS: NOLA was a shocker. Lasalle’s brother called him late one night, and when Lasalle and his girlfriend, Savannah, showed up to meet Cade, they discovered the body of Cade’s girlfriend in his trunk. He swore he didn’t do it, that he’d been set up, and eventually the team figured out that he’d indeed been set up and they caught they people responsible. That was sad in and of itself because it seems like Cade’s doing really well — he’s on his meds, going to a therapist, etc. I hope this doesn’t cause him to slip backwards. But the shocker was Baitfish was back…and at the very end of the episode, we saw him confront Savannah…and then there was a gunshot after a fade to black. Based on tonight’s episode description, I can only assume that he shot her and she’s dead. That really sucks because they were cute together and I don’t want Lasalle hurt. Then again, I love the chemistry he and the undercover DEA agent (I think?) have, so I guess this opens up that door.

On tonight’s episode, “How Much Pain Can You Take,” to send a message to Pride, Baitfish murders someone close to the NCIS team, prompting a citywide manhunt for the elusive criminal.
