    Hi Jenny,

I love your site and have been a long time subscriber. I’ve tried alternatives but was never able to find another source as concise, authoritative, and well-formatted as here.

I wanted to offer a suggestion to you or anyone willing to continue the work here. As you may know, we’re entering a new age with all of this AI technology. I was able to draft an AI prompt that, when fed into ChatGPT, outputs results similar to the ‘this week on tv’ posts. The prompt is below and can be altered based on whatever needs you have. I think it would greatly help to speed up the process of data collection. Additionally, you can ask ChatGPT to output results into tables which can be more easily copy/pasted into Excel.

    Prompt:
Generate a list of all cable/network TV and streaming series premieres, finales, specials, and movie releases, as well as theatrical movie releases for the upcoming week (Sunday–Saturday). Exclude old movies or series that are just now making their streaming debut but previously aired on cable or network TV. Include results from cable, network, and streaming platforms. For each premiere, indicate whether it’s a full-season drop or individual episode(s), along with the season or episode number in the format of s01 or s01e01. For finales, include season and episode numbers in the format of s01e01. Group the list by day. Do not separate streaming vs cable within each day. Include the channel or streaming service next to each item. Condense the list by minimizing line spacing. Please run this prompt three times, cross-check results for discrepancies, and validate each item against at least three reputable sources to ensure no details are left out or erroneously reported.

        Hi Gene,

Looks great. I haven’t tried Gemini but based on my experience with ChatGPT, I would caution everyone to take the AI output and give it a sanity check. For example, running the same prompt twice within as little as 30 seconds resulted in things like valid data being missing from one of the two result sets.

In another example, one result set reported White Lotus as having premiered on a date in April and just a week prior to the season finale. In actuality, White Lotus season 3 premiered in February.

        • Gene says:

Yeah, I get its not perfect, but its a start. I wish you all the best on what ever decision you make. I’ve loved your site for so many years and I thank you!!!!

Thank you Marcus, Taylor & Jenny! You guys are the BEST!

  5. DeDe says:

Yay! Thanks Jenny, Marcus, Taylor, and whoever else is involved in bring this back. For what it is worth I have a recommendation that might make thing easier. I noticed Jenny used to post the schedule daily. Personally I believe posting once a week for the whole week should suffice (like what you all did for this post). I don’t think it is necessary to post the schedule everyday. People could easily go to the weekly post, look for the day they are interested in, and find what shows are on that specific night 🙂

  6. Nae says:

So grateful for everyone who is making the continuation of the site possible! I agree with DeDe! Weekly list is perfect by itself if that helps you all to feel less overwhelm. Love you all lots! ??

  7. ghostlyottera41a259962 says:

Glad you’re back! I agree as well with DeDe… just post the week ahead… that’s what I check; if something should a special/show pop-up unexpectedly, send a notification – also, I hope the powers that be can find extra help via AI to make streamlining a bit easier. Regardless, it’s nice to know we can still rely on you and your new crew Jenny!

  8. Ronda Clohessy says:
