I hope Megan’s winter is letting up…but mine isn’t! As of Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday for me are supposed to be full of snow again…which I’m guessing means my kid won’t have school on Tuesday. Oi. LOL They’ve used all their snow days, so if they take any more days off for the weather like that, they’ll have to extend out the school year. So to take my mind off the winter blues, I’m going to curl up and watch some great new TV. Check out what we think YOU should be watching. 😉
Jenny’s Choice
Last week’s episode of Bones alternately made me laugh (the whole Cam/Michelle and Cam/Finn conversations were great!) and cry (I was SO SO SO mad at both those mothers of the teenagers. Like…throw things at my TV mad. To tell her daughter not to say anything about being raped? Possibly the worst case of parenting I’ve ever seen on TV. Eek! I mean, it was good for the SHOW, but damn…). And then poor Sweets… Not only did we learn that he’d been abused, but he had to basically lie to the girl after she confided in him what had happened. It was for her own good and for the good of the case, but it was still hard for them both. In the end, I think she accepted that he’d done what he had to do and why, and that made it worth it.
On tonight’s episode, “The Fact in the Fiction,” when extremely educated new intern Dr. Oliver Wells (guest star Brian Klugman) starts working at the Jeffersonian, his quick-learning, enthusiastic personality challenges Brennan as he gets under her skin with his eccentric but undeniable observations, causing her to try to be more open-minded about many scientific questions. Meanwhile, Booth worries she may have gone too far when she accepts the possibility of time travel as a factor in a murder investigation. (Just as a side note, Brian Klugman’s uncle was Jack Klugman—who died in December of 2012—one half of TV’s Odd Couple.)
To see Brennan maybe go a *tad* bit too far, tune in to FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Bones @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Continuum, How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, 2 Broke Girls, The Following, Mike & Molly, Diners, Drive-in & Dives, Pawn Star$, & Castle.
