Last night was crazy busy. I didn’t record the pilots I’d already watched, which meant my DVR was okay, but come next week, I’m not sure how I’ll handle it. I can only record three HD things at a time…so what happens when I have four? Gah! But enough about Tuesdays. Tonight’s another busy night, so we’re here (minus Megan, who was sick as a dog last night) to give you our recommendations. 🙂
Jenny’s Choice #1
Tonight is the 2-hour season premiere of Law & Order: SVU. Last season went out with a bang, with a sadistic rapist who liked to torture his victims. The team was unable to find out his real identity, which made convicting him just a pipe dream. Right at the end, Olivia got home…and the guy was there with a gun. Obviously she’ll get rescued, but what will she have to go through before they find her?
Last season was really great. I’ve loved the addition of Kelli Giddish & Danny Pino as Rollins and Amaro. They round out the team well and brought some great personal story lines to the show. The only thing I didn’t like was finding out Olivia’s boyfriend was the other cop, not ADA Barba. I ADORE ADA Barba. Ah well.
On tonight’s first hour, “Surrender Benson,” hours turn into days, and with no word from Detective Benson, the SVU squad takes drastic measures to find her and her abductor. A trail of murders and rape victims leads them to fear it may be too late. Dean Winters, Lauren Ambrose, and Bill Irwin guest star. Then on the second hour, “Imprisoned Lives,” a young boy is abandoned in Times Square and leads the detectives to the house where his family lives. Inside, they find a locked basement, where more victims await rescue, and they work to solve decades-old cold cases. Dean Winters, Michael Massee, and Bill Irwin guest star.
To see how the team finds Olivia and what’s up with the houseful of victims, tune in to NBC at 9/8c.
