I woke up to another snowstorm Wednesday, and honestly, I wasn’t even surprised because it seems Mother Nature has decided we all need to freeze for the rest of the year. Spring seems like it’s never coming. While I bundle up and accept the doom of the ice age, let’s see we’re recommending on TV tonight to amuse us & you.
Megan’s Choice
Blue Bloods has been on fire this season and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. Last week’s episode had Danny riding the desk doing paperwork, when he received a call from a distraught woman named Jill. Jill was looking for the detective that previously worked that desk, but instead found Danny, and she was just calling to tell them that because of their mistakes, she was going to end her life. Turns out her parents were killed by a drunk driver, and that drunk driver got out of jail early, so she was going to kill him and then kill herself. Danny managed to piece everything together and get to her before she did anything drastic, saving her and the scumbag who killed her parents. I love when Danny is in his fierce hero mode. It’s not only productive, but pretty damn sexy, too. We also saw Jamie struggle with the fact that he hasn’t made detective yet, when everyone else in his family had been out of the uniform after only 3 years on the beat. He almost went off book to make a name for himself, but he reined himself in just in time to do the right thing. In my opinion, Jamie is going to be a fantastic detective, but for the sake of the story, it works best for him to be a beat cop for now. No matter what position they’re in, I love all the Regan family and look forward to my weekly dose of family crime fighting.
On tonight’s episode, “Knockout Game,” Danny and Baez investigate when an expectant mother is a victim of a “knockout game,” in which teenagers punch unsuspecting civilians in the head. Meanwhile, Frank wrestles with promoting an officer when he thinks it can be viewed as favoritism.
To see if Frank decides to throw caution to the wind and promote an officer (Jamie?), tune in to CBS tonight at 10/9c.
