I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to the weekend because this week has been a little insane; school functions, doctors’ appointments, and sick kids — this mom is ready for a break. What better way to start this weekend off right than to check out some great television, so check out our recommendations.

Constantine is a show that I do not watch by myself or in the dark because it is incredibly freaky in my opinion—good but freaky. The demons and spirits are quite unnerving, so I’m more than willing to DVR this and wait to watch with someone. Last week, we watched as John investigated the death of a music producer after he listened to the record Acetate, which turned out to be cursed by the sounds of the leagues of demons claiming a soul. It was some pretty creepy stuff, but in the end, Constantine did an exorcism on the record and sent the demons back to hell. We were also introduced to Papa Midnite, a voodoo priest who was out for his own personal gain and no other reason. At one point, he even cuffed John up, cut him, and left him to bleed to death. I sense that Midnite is going to be an ongoing thorn in John’s side, but I look forward to more battles like these ones.
On tonight’s episode, “A Feast of Friends,” when Constantine’s old friend Gary Lester accidentally releases a powerful demon in Atlanta, John is forced to determine exactly what he is prepared to sacrifice in his battle with the underworld.
To see how John decides what’s worth giving up, tune in to NBC at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching Hollywood Film Awards, Grimm, and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
