This is the beginning of a busy week in television, and I am very excited because that means some of my favorite shows are back with all new episodes. Let’s not waste any more time. Take a look at what we’re recommending tonight.
Megan’s Choice
Food Network really is one of my favorite channels to watch, and one of the biggest reasons is Chopped. This is one of those cooking shows that has chefs just competing against each other course by course, in intense moments of stress. When the chefs are given certain ingredients for the different rounds, I always cringe a bit, because at times, there are a few ingredients that are more than difficult, if not even slightly disgusting, in the mix. I’ve seen moments of using strawberry milk powder in the appetizer round, which really sounds difficult and slightly nasty-tasting. It’s fabulous, high-speed cooking that you too should be tuning in for.
On tonight’s episode, “Cooking Creatively with Kitchen Scraps,” the chefs must make use of ingredients that are usually thrown out; the competitors have to get creative with a little bit of salad dressing and some paltry scraps of poultry; using fruit and veggie peels in desserts.
To see which chef serves the rubbish in the most delectable way, tune in to Food Network at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching Guy’s Grocery Games, Cutthroat Kitchen, and The Mentalist.
