I hope you all are staying warm! It’s freezing across the country & Canada—unless you live in Florida, in which case… Pfffft! *laugh* I know I’m not the only one ready for Old Man Winter to go away and usher in spring, so to console us, here’s what we’re recommending for TV tonight. 🙂
Jenny’s Choice #1
I’m really enjoying Chicago PD still. I love having Sophia Bush back on my TV each week, and I really love Jon Seda’s Antonio & Jesse Lee Sofer’s Jay. Last week, the squad was tracking down the people who were bring cop killer bullets and weapons into the country. I loved watching them get the wife to tell the truth, and then Olinsky going in the car with the bad guys and having to keep talking his way out of trouble was great. I’m worried about Ruzek and the effects of the shooting from a couple of weeks ago. And what’s up with Halstead’s confrontation with the creepy young guy and his father? What happened between the kid and the little girl Halstead mentioned? (Who I’m guessing was maybe his sister?) I can’t wait to find out more about that story…
The one thing I’m disappointed about is that on their sister show, Chicago Fire, Severide’s sister was kidnapped because Severide humiliated the guy who had come to beat up or kill the dude at the firehouse after the dude’s brother drove drunk and hit the light pole, severly injuring the guy’s cousin. We got a few mentions of it in that same week’s episode of Chicago PD, but they couldn’t do anything because it hadn’t been 48 hours and there’d been no proof that she’d been kidnapped and no demands made. This week, Fire was preempted for the President’s speech, so we get no resolution to that story line yet…and I don’t know if we’ll hear about it at all tonight on PD.
On tonight’s episode, “Now Is Always Temporary,” more is learned about Halstead’s dislike of the Rodiger family, and it’s family relationships all around as Olinsky shows a paternal side with his daughter Lexi (guest star Alina Taber) in an attempt to protect her and as Voight’s trying to help his son who has recently been released from jail. Meanwhile the Intelligence Unit investigates a counterfeiting operation after discovering some high end cloth-like paper. Sergeant Platt (guest star Amy Morton) sends Atwater and Burgess to arrest a hoarder where they discover more than just clutter.
Find out what they find tonight on NBC at 10:01/9:01c.
