I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and spent time with the women in their life that matter. Mother’s Day around here was filled with lots of surprises and a fishing trip—I didn’t catch a thing, which was disappointing. On another bittersweet note, it’s another week filled with series & season finales of some of our favorite shows, so enough with the chatter and let’s see what we’re recommending tonight.
Megan’s Choice #1
I have been a Bones fan from the beginning, and I will continue to be a fan until the end, which is why this whole story line about Booth leaving to head up another unit is so disconcerting. Booth and Brennan are simply not supposed to be anywhere else other than right where they are, so the writers need to stop playing with my emotions. Last episode we saw was a great one that had Brennan and Booth catching the elusive Ghost Killer. Stephanie McNamara was the killer all along. After suffering physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her father for years, she took her hurt out on others. Her deceitful ways ended up getting her killed when a man she framed for murder got out of jail and got even. I wasn’t the least bit surprised at the identity of the Ghost Killer, but I am very pleased that this story line seems to have come to an end and we can move on with more pressing situations. We only have tonight and then one more episode before our married crime-fighting team goes on hiatus, so let’s hope they are stellar ones.
On tonight’s episode, “The Drama in the Queen,” the Jeffersonian team investigates the death of Brian Thomas, the head swim coach at a community college, whose remains were found dumped at the bottom of a well. When possible suspects tell Brennan and Sweets that Brian may have been having an affair, the team digs a little deeper, only to find details of Brian’s secret life. Meanwhile, Sweets fills in for Booth in the investigation while Booth prepares to testify before a Congressional sub-committee, and the Jeffersonian team gets a new intern (guest star Laura Spencer) who catches Sweets’s attention.
To see how this intern and Sweets hit it off, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
