If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/17/12

One week until Christmas Eve, and I don’t even have my tree up! (I’m serious.) Tonight is hopefully the night, and while I trim the tree and finally catch up on my Christmas spirit, I’ll be watching some fabulous new TV. Let’s take a look at what you should be checking out, as well.

Megan’s Choice

hawaiifiveo1217smallIs it too much to ask for Alex O’Loughlin wrapped with a red bow under my tree for Christmas? All right…maybe it is, but a new episode of Hawaii Five-0 will help to fill the void. I have been loving this season so far, especially all the leaps and bounds of character growth we’ve been seeing from the whole cast. It’s awesome to see Steve and Catherine in a deeper relationship, and I love what her character brings to the show. The real mystery I want wrapped up is the Wo-Fat one—I’m so over it! If you haven’t been watching, you definitely should be, and what better time to fall in love with this witty, charismatic show than right before hiatus so you’ll have time to catch up? 😉

On tonight’s episode, “Kahu (Guardian),” McGarrett and Catherine meet a little boy whose father is missing and could be in grave danger. George Takei (Star Trek) guest stars as Chin’s uncle.

To see my TV boyfriend look amazing while fighting crime, tune into CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hawaii Five-0 @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, The Voice, 1600 Penn, and Next Great Baker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/8/12

Back to work today for most people. Did you have a good weekend? I had a decent one. Played a lot of cards with the family, including teaching my kiddo how to play Spades. So I’m sad the weekend’s over, but I’m looking forward to all the fantastic new TV tonight. Let’s see what we think you should be watching tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

I am LOVING this season of Castle. Last week really gave our favorite new couple their first test, one which Castle kind of failed at. LOL He couldn’t very well turn the reporter down on live television, but he could have accepted and then called to cancel. When he made the bad choice to keep the date, it allowed Beckett to walk in on the hot reporter in her bikini straddling Castle on his couch. Granted, he was trying to fight her off, but still. It bothered Beckett, and Castle realized just how much when she said she needed some time alone. I’m sure they’ll be fine, and while it was nice to see that everything isn’t always perfect, I don’t want them on the outs for long! The case itself was kind of boring, actually. There was some great parts, such as Ryan and Espisito getting black eyes and then making up (in the way only guys can. “Dude, we’re cool. Let’s get a beer.” LOL), but I hope I like the case better this week.

On tonight’s episode, “Secret’s Safe with Me,” when a young woman is mysteriously murdered, Beckett and Castle discover her death may be linked to a repossessed storage unit up for auction. Was the unit connected to her death? Was something inside it worth killing for? The investigation leads Castle and Beckett to colorful Storage Wars-like treasure seekers and Manhattan socialites as they uncover the shocking truth.

Don’t miss all the perfectly combined drama and comedy tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be recording/watching How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Revolution, Bones, The Mob Doctor, $24 in 24, Dancing with the Stars, Partners, Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, Hawaii Five-0, & Mike & Molly.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/9/11

I’m so freakin excited for it to be Monday, which is kind of an odd thing to hear, right? But Monday means Castle and other fantastic television, and I can’t help but be excited about the rest of the week coming up, too. There’s so much good TV on this time of year. It makes me absolutely giddy. *sigh* Since there’s so much on, let’s get to it!

Jenny’s Choice #1

My first pick tonight is one of my favorite shows ever, and it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone… I simply adore Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic together on Castle. The cast and the show are truly brilliant, and keep me on pins and needles each week as I wait for the new episode. I’m not looking forward to the summer break, but thankfully, we still have one more episode after tonight’s. And what a last 2 episodes of this season they will be! Trust me, you won’t want to miss them!

Tonight, the contestants of a beauty pageant find one of their own strangled during rehearsal, and as Castle and Beckett investigate, they discover a number of suspects with a motive for murder, from fellow contestants, to the sponsor and the show’s host. Michael McKean (Curb Your Enthusiasm) & Sasha Roiz (Caprica) guest star.

See all the glitz and glam tonight on ABC at 10:01/9:01c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/13/10

I can’t believe it’s Monday already. It seems I blinked, and the weekend was over. This week brings us so many new episodes, not to mention both season and series premieres. It also brings us a special guest contributor in Lisa from Starry Constellation Magazine. She’s awesome, and considering Jenny and I are both fabulousm she’s in good company. 😀 If you like her input, let us know. We love the feedback! That’s enough rambling for now, let’s get to our suggestions of what you should be watching.

Megan’s Choice

Tonight was such a tough decision for me on what you should be watching. I’m going to go with Gossip Girl. It’s not my usual choice, but tonight’s season premiere is going to be intense.

How was Blair and Serena’s summer in Paris? What about Nate and his plight to forget his feelings for Serena? That’s not to mention Dan’s baby drama with Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) and Chuck being shot and all. It’s going to be a dramatic start to another season that I’m sure will be filled with lots of heated passion, delicious deceit and of course secrets. 🙂 Tune in to the CW tonight at 9/8c and then let me know what you thought of the premiere.

TV News – 6/23/10

I’ll never look at Wednesdays the same since the Will/Sue scene on Glee… aka “Hump Day”. 😀 Sometimes I think I amuse myself more than others, but it’s worth it. LOL.

Speaking of Glee there are a lot of people upset and disappointed by the fact that Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Diana Agron won’t be present for the San Diego Comic-Con. I am not one of those. Don’t get me wrong I’m disappointed that the WHOLE cast won’t be there but I understand the reasoning. The producers wanted to give the rest of the cast a chance to experience it, and I’m okay with that. First of all, they are ALL talented and second of all I’ll still get to gaze at Mark Salling (aka Puck). It’s a win-win. Perhaps Heather Morris will pull out some great Britany lines for us? Whatever the case they are bringing exclusive sneak peeks and I will be reporting them back to you, so don’t worry be happy. 😉 Source

More after the jump. Continue reading
