TV News – 10/4/10

What a crazy, busy day it’s been for me! How was your day? The TV season is well under way and so is the TV news, so let’s take a look.

A few posts ago I discussed the sad news that Andy Whitfield from Spartacus, would be stepping down from his role due to needing treatment for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma again. The executive producer had been deciding whether they “close up shop or recast”, they chosen to recast. While I understand that ‘the show must go on’, can it really go on with someone else in Whitfield’s role? I’m not sure, what’s your thoughts? Source

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/30/10

Two days left in August, which puts us that much closer to the start of the fall season. Until then, though, there’s still some GREAT TV on, so check out what we’re recommending!
 

Jenny’s Choice

Besides only having 2 days left in August, it’s also Monday, which normally is a bad thing, but I LOVE Mondays this summer. I know, I know. It’s crazy, but it’s true. Monday means a new episode of Rizzoli & Isles on TNT at 10/9c.

On tonight’s episode, Jane struggles to contain her fears when she is forced to confront the imprisoned serial killer who nearly murdered her, but both she and Maura suspect that the killer may know something about a murder victim who was recently found in the park. (I forgot to mention… Billy Burke is back as FBI Agent Gabriel Dean. I’ve seen tonight’s episode already, and it’s fantastic. LOVE BB and his character!)

Don’t miss tonight’s new episode on TNT at 10/9c. I promise, you won’t be disappointed!

Interview with Nikki Blonsky from Huge

Nikki Blonsky made us fall in love with her with her portrayal of Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray and now she’s even more loveable in her new show, Huge. The show is centered around a group of teens at weight loss camp and the struggles that it brings.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 7/5/10

What a great long weekend but now we’re here to bring you our opinion on what you should be watching on television tonight. We apologize for it being a bit later than usual tonight but we’re both a little under the weather.
 

Megan’s Choice

I am loving Monday night TV this summer, but especially everything on ABC Family. For tonight my suggestion will be to watch Huge at 9/8c on ABC Family. The show stars the adorable Nikki Blonsky (Hairspray) and is about a group of overweight teens at weight loss camp.

It’s heart-warming, funny and a must see for everyone. While you’re at it stick around and watch Make It or Break It at 10 pm. You’ll be happy you did!
