If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/18/11

Whew, what a week! It’s only Tuesday, but last night’s TV wore me out! There was SO much on! There’s not as many brand new shows on tonight, but there are still a ton, so let’s just jump into it. Be sure and let us know what you’re going to watch tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

Since Megan is doing my other favorite of tonight’s new shows, I chose NCIS. I love the spinoff, but I still adore the original, too. The cast is phenomenal, with fantastic chemistry and great storylines, from the personal to the professional. Mark Harmon is a natural born leader, and everyone on his team is believable and fun to watch. I enjoy it every time I watch, and I know tonight is going to be no different.

On tonight’s episode, a petty officer’s recruitment session at a college fair comes to a tragic end when he’s brutally murdered in a stairwell, prompting the NCIS team, accompanied by Dr. Mallard’s predecessor, to solve this mysterious murder. The amazing Bob Newhart is guest starring as Dr. Walter Magnus, Ducky’s predecessor.

TV News – 1/4/11

First I’d like to wish my husband a very happy birthday, love you! Now let’s look at the little bit of news that there is.

Liz Tigelaar , the creator/executive producer of Life UneXpected, has signed a two-year deal with ABC Studios, that starts in June when her deal with CBS TV Studios ends. The deal includes Tigelaar developing a new series, or possibly joining an existing show. Tigelaar worked for ABC Studios before on shows such as What About Brian?, and Brothers and Sisters. Unfortunately, this seems like the final nail in Life UneXpected’s coffin. The season (ahem… series) finale will air on January 18th, on The CW Network. We wish Tigelaar well, but we will definitely miss our weekly dose of Life UneXpected. Source

TV News – 11/3/10

Happy hump day! Hope you enjoy 😉 . It’s been a little hectic around here getting settled in from the move, and I can’t wait to get it all organized. It’ll be a bit of time I’m sure. 🙂 In the meantime I’m bringing you a bit of news to keep you interested in me.

It’s sad news for Life Unexpected, there was no pick up of the last 9 episodes of the season. This means the show will only have 13 episodes this season unless the television powers that be decide to clue into how fabulous this show is, but don’t hold your breath. Source

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/2/10

I understand the obsession with baseball and the need for the Election broadcasts, but I’d like to let the powers that be know that I’m sick of my TV schedule being messed with. 😉 There’s no new Glee tonight but there is a few shows worth checking out so let’s see what this crazy bunch of TV junkies think you should be watching.

Megan’s Choice

Tonight I am suggesting One Tree Hill on the CW network at 8/7c. This season has had a lot of great story lines, and I’m impressed at the writer’s ability to keep the show fresh after all this time. I’ve been enjoying the season so far, especially the arcs about Nathan and Haley, because I think they’re adorable.

On tonight’s episode, Brooke attempts to bond with her future mother-in-law while Julian searches for his best man. Elsewhere, Skills arrive back in town; Nathan faces problems with his new career; and Haley’s skills as a counselor are called into question. Tune in to see where this evening soap opera takes us. If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/12/10

Have you ever had a day where you just feel like poop the entire day? That’s how my Monday was. I’m low on sleep, and woke up with a headache on Monday. That headache lasted off and on all day. As I write this late Monday night/early Tuesday morning, I’m hoping I’ll get more sleep in a few minutes and by the time I get up in the morning, it’ll be gone. Regardless, I’ll enjoy Tuesday night TV, as I always do! So read on to find out what the three of us are recommending tonight!
 

Jenny’s Choice

One of the shows I look forward to most on Tuesday is NCIS: LA on CBS at 9/8c. Yes, there is enough eye candy to last me the week, but the chemistry between the entire cast is fantastic and makes it well worth watching.

On tonight’s episode, when the daughter of a Naval commander is kidnapped and videotaped being buried alive, the NCIS team springs into action and links the crime to a man who is currently imprisoned for three similar murders. They must save the girl before time runs out. We find out more about Sam’s back story, and it has something to do with being buried alive while overseas. Eek! Tune in to NCIS: LA on CBS at 9/8c to find out more!
