I’m enjoying this second story arc of the final season of Major Crimes more than I did the first, which seemed to drag out forever. Maybe because so far we’ve only had two episodes and I know we wrap this one up tonight with the double ep. Last week, another woman who was suing the Hooters (I mean Tackles… LOL) guy was murdered. Everyone thought she’d committed suicide because she’d been depressed. Turned out she’d been drugged and raped, and although the squad thinks the Tackles guy did it, she didn’t tell anyone who it was, so they have no proof. They did figure out that the SA beside the cities in the lawyer’s notes didn’t stand for what they thought it did. Instead, it stood for sexual assault. They believe that’s why the attorney was killed, because she was finding other victims and was going to go after the Tackles guy for the rapes, not just the lawsuit that was public knowledge. Of course, now they have to prove it.

Then there were the B stories… Sharon had another health scare, where she swooned and nearly went down at the crime scene. In the end, she and Andy walked in to see another specialist. Eek. And Rusty gave Gus the check and letter of recommendation from his former boss, but Gus didn’t react how Rusty thought he would. There was a lot of yelling, etc. And Gus finally admitted that they’d only slept together twice. Personally, I don’t think Gus was fired because he slept with the boss. I think he got fired because after he slept with him, he felt guilty and started performing badly at work, which then got him fired. But I guess we’ll see! We get two episodes tonight to wrap up the Tackles story, but I’m sure we’ll see some of Sharon’s health and the Rusty/Gus saga as well!

On tonight’s first episode, “Conspiracy Theory, Pt 3,” while working two seemingly connected murders, the division suddenly uncovers a series of sexual assaults against servers from Tackles. As a new theory about the killer gathers steam, however, an unexpected twist throws Major Crimes off course and Sharon off-balance.

Then in the second episode, “Conspiracy Theory, Pt 4,” Sharon must make decisions related to her ongoing health problems while arriving at the solution of a series of murders and sexual assaults.

To learn the outcome of the investigation, tune in to TNT starting at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Married at First Sight: Jamie and Doug Plus One & Chopped.

Tonight is the conclusion of the 5-episode “Sanctuary City” arc on Major Crimes. It’s been an eventful arc so far with surprises happening every episode. Last week, we not only found out Sharon had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy (and I loved how she turned Rusty’s question about what he can do to help into him agreeing to a protection detail! LOL), but Lucas’s drug-addicted father was found dead in his office. Everyone believes it was an overdose. Was it self-inflicted – and if so, then on purpose or accident? Was it murder? I think the other two doctors or whoever they are in his practice have been hiding something, so…maybe it was them? And we learned from the remaining two boys that Lucas had taken them to a limo and then they’d been sprayed with something that knocked them out and made their throats hurt, and then they woke in Mexico. Chloroform was found on their clothes, so maybe? But they were also found with opioids in their bags in Mexico, so…I’m still as confused as ever.

Tonight wraps up this arc, thank goodness. It’s been a fun and interesting case, but I honestly have no idea what the truth is, and I’m ready to move on!

On tonight’s episode, “Sanctuary City: Part 5,” as the case of the St. Joseph’s Three leads to its unexpected conclusion, Commander Sharon Raydor attempts to balance the case, her family arriving, and her fast approaching wedding to Lt. Andy Flynn.

Find out the truth to all the unanswered questions tonight on TNT at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Lethal Weapon, Chopped, MasterChef Canada, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, & Chicago Med.

I’m of mixed emotions about tonight’s Major Crimes season premiere. I’m excited because it’s back and it promises to be another great season…but I’m also sad because it’s the final season. After 7 seasons of The Closer and now starting the 6th season of Major Crimes, these characters couldn’t feel more like family if they tried. I’ll miss them all – but Provenza and Flynn will always have a spot on my favorite characters of all-time list.

When we last left off six months ago (our time – I have no idea how long it’ll have been on the show…), the squad was chasing the bomber who was blowing up people in a case of romance gone bad. He then began targeting the Major Crimes squad…finally ending up causing an explosion that took out their entire squad room. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like anyone was hurt, and they got the guy. But this means we come back tonight to a whole new set, which should be a lot of fun, especially since this is the last season of the show. Phillip Stroh is back this season, and in December the show will hit its 100th episode just before the series finale in January. So it’s going to be an action-packed, fun final season, and I can’t wait to get started tonight!

On tonight’s episode, “Sanctuary City, Pt 1,” when three fifteen-year-old boys vanish from a Catholic school field trip, new Asst. Chief Mason orders Major Crimes to treat their disappearance as a critical missing. Meanwhile, Sharon receives more evidence that Phillip Stroh may be returning to Los Angeles.

See if the boys can be found safe tonight on TNT at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRIng NCIS, Impractical Jokers, The Little Couple, MasterChef Canada, The Mayor, Chopped, & NCIS: New Orleans.

Tonight, Pop TV kicks off two new comedy series starring former celebrities playing exaggerated versions of themselves trying to reinvigorate their careers. First up is the improvised comedy, Hollywood Darlings, which follows real-life friends/former ’90s child stars Jodie Sweetin (Full House, Fuller House), Christine Lakin (Step By Step), and Beverley Mitchell (7th Heaven) as they juggle reviving their careers with being busy wives and moms. Pop TV aired a “preview” episode of the series last week.

Then, the scripted comedy Return of the Mac follows the misadventures of New Kids on the Block member Joey McIntyre and his real-life family – wife Barrett and their three children, Griffin (8), Rhys (6), and Kira (5) – as he struggles to be taken as a serious actor. However, this plan is derailed when he ends up taking a role as a talk-show host for the fledgling Comfy Channel cable network. The series also stars Adam Ray (MadTV revival), Jamie Denbo (Childrens Hospital), Katie Wee, Punam Patel (Kevin from Work), and Jordan Black (Shaded).

This looks like it’s going to be a really fun and somewhat nostalgic hour of TV. Plus, there are sure to be loads of surprise celebrity guests/former co-stars on both of these shows.

On the premiere of Hollywood Darlings, “How Christine Got Her Groove Back,” Beverley and Christine have a day of unconventional relaxation, and Jodie substitute teaches an acting class for kids.

Then, in the premiere of Return of the Mac, “New Kid on the Talk,” Joe pitches a drama at the Comfy Channel, but he’s talked into hosting his own talk show instead.

Enjoy this hour of new TV tonight on Pop TV starting at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Designated Survivor, Survivor, Empire, Archer, Brockmire, The Magicians, The Expanse, Major Crimes, and Nobodies.

Tonight, Archer moves to FXX as the series kicks off its eighth season. This show is constantly finding fun, unique, new ways to reinvent itself to keep things fresh and interesting. The sixth season’s “Archer Vice” put the gang in the drug business, and in the seventh season, the group moved to Los Angeles to start a private detective firm, The Figgis Agency. Last season ended in a bit of a cliffhanger – Sterling Archer was seemingly dead, floating in a pool, with blood running out of bullet holes in his body.

So how will the show reinvent itself this year? The new season, titled “Dreamland,” picks up three months later, with Archer in a coma. As he lies sleeping in his hospital bed, there is an elaborate story taking place in Archer’s dreams. It is 1947, and Archer is a hardboiled private eye who discovers that his partner, Woodhouse, has been murdered. As Archer looks for the killer, he crosses paths with all of his real-world acquaintances, each with a new role to play in this noir fantasy world inside his head. [Note from Jenny: So…sort of like Bones? LOL]

I appreciate how the series creators are willing to shake things up each season and give viewers something fresh and new, while also maintaining the same fun and spirit of the show that fans are used to. I really enjoyed tonight’s premiere, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this mystery plays out and how they have fun re-purposing characters in Archer’s dream world. It looks like there are going to be lots of twists and turns to Archer’s dreamland case.

There’s also a fun new interactive element to the show this year. There’s a newly released augmented reality app for phones/tablets that fans can use while watching the series to solve cases like Archer or enter giveaways to win cool prizes. More information on the free app can be found here: NoReruns.net

On tonight’s premiere, “Archer Dreamland: No Good Deed,” Archer tries to find out who killed his partner but accidentally gets in bed with Mother, a notorious L.A. crime boss.

Meet Mother and see Archer’s dream world tonight on FXX at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Goldbergs, Speechless, Modern Family, black-ish, Designated Survivor, Survivor, Criminal Minds, Brockmire, Schitt’s Creek, Hollywood Darlings, The Magicians, The Expanse, Major Crimes, and Nobodies.
