If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/4/13

Yesterday, I FINALLY got a new battery for my van. Let’s hear it for not having to get a boost every time I need to go somewhere! Hooray! As if that wasn’t enough good news for one day, I later found out I won a cookie baking contest at my daughter’s school, which ended up with me getting a gift card to the mall—in woman language, that’s just like flowers. 🙂 While I ride my high of good news—because let’s be honest, the bad news is probably just around the corner…lol—let’s see what’s on TV tonight to keep us all happy.

Megan’s Choice

superfunnight124smallI am having a serious girl crush on the beautiful, talented, and hilarious Rebel Wilson, as well as her character on Super Fun Night. It’s true that a lot of critics have been all crotchety about the show (even some of my fellow post writers…), but I really don’t care, because it makes me happy. By happy, I mean laughing my butt off and feeling like a ray of sunshine after every episode. There’s something awesome about watching a woman on TV truly own who she is, and Kimmie (Rebel Wilson) really does own it. Last week’s episode was bittersweet, because Kimmie was fixed up with Richard’s friend, James, and they hit it off. What’s bittersweet about this is that James could see the connection between Richard and Kimmie and graciously stepped back. In all honesty, I want Richard with Kimmie instead of Kendall, but James and Kimmie made a dynamic pair. What I did really enjoy was watching Richard have a turn at being jealous when he realized how much fun Kimmie was having with James. He felt left out because Kimmie is the person he has the most fun with. When Richard was honest with Kendall about having more fun with Kimmie than her, I cheered, but then I felt bad for Kendall because she isn’t all bad—just most of the time.

Tonight, ABC is airing the original first episode as a flashback so we can see where it all started. The episode, so originally titled “Pilot,” shows us Kimmie getting a promotion that threatens a long-standing tradition with her two best friends and roommates.

To go back to the beginning, tune in to ABC at 9:30/8:30c.

I’ll also be watching The X Factor, Killer Contact, Mob City, Kirstie, Christmas in Rockerfeller Center, On the Rocks, and Top Chef.
