The weekend’s over, and I’m kinda sad to see it go. Saturday was okay, but Sunday seemed to fly by, and it was over before I blinked, I swear. Tonight is a relatively light night for new TV, especially given the rest of the week, but there are some good things on, so check out our recommendations. 🙂

One thing I don’t recommend usually is Mystery Diners on Food Network. If you haven’t seen it, basically it’s this: Restaurants call the Mystery Diners company. The top guy, Charles, arranges to cover their entire restaurant with hidden cameras. He usually sets up one of his employees to go undercover as either a server or something similar. Then during the dinner service, he’ll have another mystery diner or two go in as customers or vendors, and they try to catch one or more of the employees doing something naughty, whether it’s stealing from the restaurant, from the customers, or just generally acting inappropriately. Some of the things I’ve seen on this show absolutely amaze me. I think one of my favorite ones was at one of those restaurants where they blindfold all the customers so they have to eat without sight. The servers were making inappropriate actions to the customers right beside them, going through people’s purses, eating off customers’ plates and drinking from their glasses… It was horrible. You couldn’t help but laugh because it was so bad. The best part, though, is when they bring the offenders back to the viewing room and show them all the evidence, and the offenders are almost always indignant, like, “How could you do this to me? I didn’t do anything wrong!” *snort*
This is a great show to just veg out to when you want something quick and easy to watch. I love it.
On tonight’s episode, “Heavy Lifting,” the Mystery Diners travel to Las Vegas to assist the owners of a healthy restaurant who notice there are discrepancies with their supply of expensive protein supplements.
See where the supplements are going tonight on Food Network at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing MasterChef, Rewrapped, Whose Line is it Anyway?, American Ninja Warrior, Major Crimes, Longmire, & Murder in the First.
