Kyle’s Choice
Tonight, the first season of Pitch comes to a close. Last week, it looked like Mike was going to be traded to the Cubs. Mike wasn’t going to participate in his final game as a Padre for fear that he would get injured, but Ginny got the crowd cheering, so Mike stepped up to the plate to bat…only to make the game-ending strike out. Mike was dejected, but the crowd still cheered for him in appreciation of all of his years with the team. Meanwhile, Amelia grew concerned when she learned that Ginny had given her brother Will money to help with his sports bar venture; and soon after, Will’s business partner Evelyn also started to have her own concerns when she noticed some discrepancies in the restaurant’s budget. That evening Ginny went on a date with Noah, the billionaire CEO of a gaming company, which went really well. She received a text from Mike to meet him at a bar, so she headed over, thinking it was some sort of good-bye party with the team. However, she was the only other player there, and it ended up being more like a date. Just as it seemed like the two were about to kiss, Mike received a call from Oscar letting him know the trade fell through.
So what’s the future for Mike and Ginny? Is there something between them, and if so, can they still be teammates, and how would Amelia react? What’s going on with the missing money from the restaurant fund, and how will Ginny react when she finds out the truth about her brother? Tonight is the last episode of the season, and I’m interested to see how it wraps up, especially with a renewal still to be determined.
On tonight’s episode, “Don’t Say It,” Ross warns the Padres that Ginny’s closing in on her pitching limit, but management is reluctant to end her season. Meanwhile, Amelia confronts Will about money that’s missing from the restaurant fund.
See how the season (possible series?) ends tonight on FOX at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Great American Baking Show, The Great Indoors, Life in Pieces, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Top Chef.
