If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/30/11

It’s Friday, and that means my kid is FINALLY on his way home! lol He was having such a good time with my mom, dad, brother & his family (including my almost 4-year-old niece, who apparently has attached herself to my son, telling everyone, “I love my cousin!” *dies of cuteness*), and my sister that he kept putting off when he wanted to come home. lol We’re making him come home today, though, since he starts school again on Tuesday. Next week, things get much closer to normal for TV, but for the last day of crushing slowness, check out what Kyle & I think you should watch.

The powers that be on Chuck are just giving it everything they’ve got to try and give fans what they want this last season of the show. We’ve seen more Ellie & Awesome, some interesting storylines with the Buy More gang, a married Chuck & Sarah, and this week, we get to learn a lot more about Sarah’s past—including meeting two important people. Fans of USA Network’s White Collar will be especially happy, since Tim DeKay is guest starring on tonight’s episode, along with Cheryl Ladd, who was an original Charlie’s Angels – and for those Las Vegas fans, she also played Jillian Deline, Delinda’s mother/Ed’s (James Caan’s) wife.

On tonight’s episode, “Chuck Versus the Baby,” Sarah is forced to confront a secret from her past and feels she must do so alone, while Chuck urges her to let him help. When Sarah encounters her original handler, Kieran Ryker, she fears that he will harm those closest to her, including her mom.

Check it out tonight on NBC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Chuck @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/23/11

We’re only 2 days from Christmas. There are a couple of things on tonight, but until after the new year, there aren’t going to be a lot of things on. So don’t be surprised if our postings are a bit random! Megan, Kyle, Lisa, and I would like to take this last chance to tell you how much we appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for sticking with us, and we hope you enjoy our Remote posts next year!

There are only a handful of episodes left of Chuck before it airs its series finale. Chuck and the gang just got rid of Decker, then they had to figure out why are being framed, and then this week, an old friend-turned-foe returns. Chuck is really coming to the idea that he wants to get out of the spy business for good, which shocked Sarah. Casey was in jail, and Morgan and Verbanski broke him out, and now Verbanski is gone. It’s been a crazy season, and it’s not over yet.

On tonight’s episode, “Chuck Versus the Santa Suit,” Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) discover who’s behind the plot to destroy Carmichael Industries. Meanwhile, Ellie’s (Sarah Lancaster) plans for a perfect Christmas begin to come apart. At the Buy More, Morgan (Joshua Gomez) and the gang must fend off angry customers as a computer virus threatens to ruin Christmas. Brandan Routh returns as Daniel Shaw, and comic book legend Stan Lee guest stars.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/16/11

It’s only 8 days until Christmas Eve, and I have not finished my shopping. In fact, I am nowhere near close. In case anyone needs ideas of what I would like for Christmas, I’ll take: Alex O’Loughlin, Shemar Moore, Wentworth Miller, Mark Salling, Barrett Foa, all gift wrapped with bows, just for me. Oh, and a new coffee maker, because mine is on the fritz… I need my caffeine fix – don’t judge me. 🙂 Now, while you all rush off to fulfill my male order shopping list, I’ll tell you what you should be watching tonight.

It’s no secret that I have been falling in love with Grimm, but if this is your first time coming to the site, then welcome, and news flash – I’m falling in love with Grimm. 🙂 Now that the cat is out of the bag, let’s discuss why you should be watching this amazing show. Take one of your favorite fairytales – let’s use The Three Little Pigs, for example – and now twist it up, rough up the edges, and throw in an attractive cast. Okay? Good. Last week’s episode was just that – an upside down version of The Three Little Pigs, where the pigs got revenge on the wolves. It was genius. I loved every single dark moment of the episode, and I think you should be watching, as well.

On tonight’s all new episode, “Let Your Hair Down,” a murder investigation in the woods leads to the reopening of a missing person’s case. Also, Nick asks Monroe to make contact with a feral creature.

To see your favorite fairytales get modernized, tune in to NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Grimm @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/29/11

It’s kind of a big night for TV, with some great new episodes of fan favorites. Are you excited for the new episodes on FOX, or part 1 of the season finale of Sons of Anarchy on FX? We want to recommend some great episodes tonight, so read on!

Jenny’s Choice #1

Last week’s Covert Affairs was great, because the case tied in so well with Annie’s life. Things with her sister, Danielle, have been incredibly tense since the end of last season, when Annie read Danielle in on the whole CIA secret. Not unexpectedly, Danielle took it hard, mostly because she felt Annie had knowingly endangered her daughters. Sure, the lying was a part of it, but I think Danielle was mostly worried about her girls. I gotta say, that was the only reason I wasn’t really pissed off with the way she reacted. If it had been me, I’d have probably reacted that way, too! So when Annie had to deal with an asset who was being lied to by her sister and father, she sympathized. We didn’t get a ton of Auggie last episode, but I think that will change this episode. I KNOW it will change next week. I’m not sure I’ve been this worried about a season finale as I am about next week’s Covert Affairs. Eek! Hopefully, tonight won’t be too scary!

On tonight’s new episode, “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” Annie allows herself to be recruited by an MI6 operative in the hopes of finding out why MI6 is spying in the United States. Tony Curran guest stars.

Check it out tonight on USA Network at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Covert Affairs @ Clicker.
