TV News – 8/8/11

I decided to do a little news post prompted by some aggravating news that broke earlier today. Let’s see what’s going on in the world of TV news.

I don’t want to be rude, because I actually love Syfy, but they aren’t playing by basic playground rules. You know, where you can’t take something back once you’ve given it? For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, let me fill you in. 🙂

Syfy gave Eureka a 6 episode pick up for a sixth season, and then took it back. Here’s a statement that Syfy gave earlier today:

“After a painstaking consideration, we have had to make the difficult business decision to not order a season six of Eureka. But Eureka is not over yet. There is a new holiday episode this December and 12 stellar episodes set to debut next year, marking it’s fifth season and six memorable years of Syfy. The 2012 episodes are some of the best we’ve seen and will bring the great series to a satisfying end. We are very grateful to Bruce Miller and Jaime Paglia, their team of incredible writers, and an amazing cast and crew who have consistently delivered a series we continue to be very proud of. We thank the fans for their support of this show and know they will enjoy it’s final season in 2012.”

I’m happy that we still have another season to go, but sad that it ever has to end. 🙂 I’ll be especially sad when there are no more Eureka Comic-Con panels, because they are always hilarious and amazing! 🙂 Sound off below on how you feel about this news. Source

TV News – 1/12/11

Hello my lovelies! I have a few bits of news for you tonight, served with an apology for my lack of regular posts. As you all know I am pregnant with my second child, and due to the high risk nature of my pregnancies, I’ve been up and down health wise. Today is a good day and baby boy is doing well, so I’m taking a few moments to update my favorite people on the world of TV news. I may not be around as often but I still appreciate all of the support you give the site, Jenny and myself. If it wasn’t for you readers, there’d be no place for a TV addict like myself to write about her addiction. 😀

FOX has ordered a second season of the new hit comedy, Raising Hope, as announced at the TCAs today by Kevin Reilly (President of FOX company). This news comes as no big surprise because Raising Hope, has been a hit from the start with viewers and critics alike. In the meantime, season one will return will all new episodes on Tuesday, February 8th at 9/8 c on FOX. So are you happy with this renewal?

TV News – 1/4/11

First I’d like to wish my husband a very happy birthday, love you! Now let’s look at the little bit of news that there is.

Liz Tigelaar , the creator/executive producer of Life UneXpected, has signed a two-year deal with ABC Studios, that starts in June when her deal with CBS TV Studios ends. The deal includes Tigelaar developing a new series, or possibly joining an existing show. Tigelaar worked for ABC Studios before on shows such as What About Brian?, and Brothers and Sisters. Unfortunately, this seems like the final nail in Life UneXpected’s coffin. The season (ahem… series) finale will air on January 18th, on The CW Network. We wish Tigelaar well, but we will definitely miss our weekly dose of Life UneXpected. Source

TV News – 10/25/10

Can you believe this is the last week in October? Is everyone ready for Halloween? We are in the process of moving, but I promised my daughter that we’d be moved before it was trick or treating time. She’s going to be a dalmatian, which really isn’t surprising seeing as she loves dogs. Well, now that you are all bored with my regular life details, let’s look at TV news. 🙂

FX has ordered a new live-action comedy series, Wilfred. The series stars Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), and Jason Gann () and is based on the Australian series of the same name. Wood plays “Ryan, an introvert who struggles to find social and professional happiness, until he meets ‘Wilfred’ (Gann). Everyone else sees Wilfred as a dog, Ryan sees him as a man dressed in a dog suit.” Gann co-created and played Wilfred in the Australian original. I’m actually looking forward to seeing this series because I am a fan of Elijah Wood and this is the first time he’ll star in a regular TV series. Expect Wilfred to hit your television in the summer of 2011.
