TV News – 12/7/10

I haven’t been feeling 100% the past few days, which is to be expected, but I’m here tonight to update you on some news. Then it’s back to bed to rest, and try to regain some of my energy. 🙂

In the category of “Bad Decisions for $2000”, we have the news that FX has decided not to renew Terriers for a second season. The word, stupid, comes to mind. Terriers is one of the best new shows of the season that you are apparently not watching. I was just getting into it too! FX I’m disappointed in you for not giving the freshman series another season to get a bigger audience. Tsk. Tsk.Source

If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/1/10

It’s December 1, which means 19 more days until my birthday! Woohoo! lol It’s also Wednesday, which means mid-way through the week, but no Criminal Minds. Boo! lol Oh well, still great stuff on tonight, so let’s see what we think you should watch!

Jenny’s Choice

My recommendation tonight is Human Target, because it’s been great so far this season and I love the show. Last week was one of my favorite ever, in terms of delving into Chase’s psyche and his past as a hitman. Seeing the new “partner” beginning to understand him and trying to explain to the client/wife of a man Chase killed in the past was fantastic.

On tonight’s episode, when Ames is pulled back into her old criminal life, Chance goes undercover as part of a gang attempting to stage a daring diamond heist to help protect her.

It’ll be good to see more of the 2nd new female character on the show! Don’t miss it tonight on FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Human Target @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/3/10

It’s mid-week, so half the work week is done, yay! After a pretty darn slow night last night, tonight comes roaring back, with 38 new episodes on TV! Thankfully, no, I don’t watch all those! haha Baseball is over (congrats to the Giants fans!), the election is over (congrats to all of us. LOL), and it’s back to our regularly scheduled programming. So what do we think you should watch tonight? Read on and find out!

Yes, it’s Wednesday again, which means you should know my choice. Unoriginal, maybe. Am I apologetic because of it? Nah, not at all. LOL This is what *I* think you should be watching, and Criminal Minds is what I think you should be watching! 😉

On tonight’s episode, when bodies begin turning up in the cornfields of Indiana, the BAU team must find a pack of serial killers preying on exotice dancers. It’s a soap opera night, as guest stars include Robert Newman (Guiding Light) as Sheriff Jeff Salters, who aids the team in its investigation, and Melissa Claire Egan (All My Children) as exotic dancer Tara Dice. Don’t miss this new episode on CBS at 9/8c. Criminal Minds @ Clicker

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/8/10

The first of the fall shows on network TV start tonight! This is also the night we start to wish we had a third person helping out with these posts, because there are too many shows we want to recommend! Because of that, I will pick one show, Megan will make her pick, and then together, we chose a third show we both think you should be watching. What can we say? It’s HARD to choose just one when you can’t miss so many shows in one night! To see the shows we’ve chosen, read on!

Out of the three premieres tonight (2 of which are new series), I am most excited about Terriers on FX at 10/9c. Terriers centers on Hank Dolworth (Donal Logue, Life, The Knights of Prosperity, Grounded for Life), an ex-cop who partners with his best friend, Britt Pollack (Michael Raymond-James, True Blood), to launch an unlicensed private investigation business. The duo, both struggling with maturity issues, solve crimes while avoiding danger and responsibility. Co-stars include Laura Allen (Dirt) as Katie, Britt’s girlfriend; Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break) as Detective Mark Gustafson, former colleague of Hank; and Jamie Denbo (Weeds) as Maggie Lefferts, Hank’s attorney.
