Welcome to Hump Day! I had a great Tuesday night. It’s one of my favorite nights for TV because I have stuff left over from Monday plus all the great TV. I laughed my way through Whose Line, worried through Rizzoli & Isles, and just generally had a good night. There’s a lot of great TV on tonight, too, on this last day of July, which makes me VERY happy. So check out our recommendations for what you should be watching tonight!
Jenny’s Choice
I’m a big fan of comedies, and one of my favorite summer comedies is Melissa & Joey. They’re finding a way to make the “Ryder being home schooled” thing work, although I’m not sure WHY they did it. Meanwhile, last week, Mel and Joe learned that Zander and Lennox had already had sex, and when Lennox wrote on her blog about it only being okay, Zander broke up with her. Joe got angry, but it turned out that Zander was mad because she wrote about it. He didn’t break up with her because he’d finally gotten sex from her. That was a really adult story line—and more than a little awkward to watch with my 15yo son, although I guess somewhat appropriate, since we’ve had to deal with what to share and what not to share on Facebook. heh Ryder’s story line about him and his naïve girlfriend was funny, as was meeting her two moms. Watching Ryder trying to play the bad boy was pretty humerous.
I love this show, but I’m hoping we’ll see some movement on the Mel/Joe relationship front soon. Driving me nuts! 🙂
On tonight’s episode, “Good Morning Toledo,” Mel and Joe are invited to co-host a week of “Good Morning Toledo,” which Mel thinks will help her earn voters. Their constant bickering on air garners rave reviews with the audience, and they’re an instant hit. But when the secret to their popularity turns out to be talking a little too personally about Lennox and Ryder, they have to decide if fame or family is more important.
See if they make the right decision tonight on ABC Family at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Got Talent, MasterChef, Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy, Hot in Cleveland, Top Chef Masters, Top Shot, The Exes, & The Soul Man.
