If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/20/12

It’s the start of a new week and really…it’s SO much slower this week than we’ve had in awhile. You’ll notice as we go through the week that not everyone is posting every day, and that’s simply because there isn’t always something we all want to watch/recommend on! Megan is getting a break tonight, but she’ll be back tomorrow. There are still a few things on, though, so check out our recs!

Jenny’s Choice

Last week’s premiere of Food Network Star was so different and so cool. I loved having the three teams of contestants each coached/mentored by a different master chef/personality. I liked so many of the contestants that I can’t name which team I’m rooting for yet. It’s a close race so far! This is a very different way to do the show, and so far, I think it’s working well. I’m hoping that continues tonight with the second episode.

On tonight’s episode, “NYC on the Go,” after the finalists are divided into three separate teams, they are given tours of various New York City neighborhoods, where they learn about the local landmarks and food. The contestants prepare a dish inspired by their New York district.

I’d like to thank Jenny and the TVIsMyPacifier staff for this opportunity, and kick things off by recommending this evening’s episode of Dexter. With just three hours remaining in season five, storylines are finally converging, as “In the Beginning”will feature Miami Metro questioning Jordan Chase and Dexter/Lumen trying to stay one step ahead of this motivational speaker/dangerous psychopath.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/10/10

It’s the start of a new week, and that is both good and bad in my opinion. It’s bad, because of course everyone has to go back to work. But I’m thrilled, because that means all the shows are on again starting tonight. Although I have some favorites toward the end of the week, I love the beginning few days of the week for my viewing schedule, so I can’t help but be excited! I do miss The Glades on Sundays, though! *cry* Anyway, to see what IS on tonight and what we are recommending you watch, read on!
 

Jenny’s Choice

My pick tonight is the new episode of Desperate Housewives on ABC at 9/8c. The show has been fantastic this season so far. We’ve had a new housewife appear (Vanessa Williams), an old friend of Lynette’s, who we found out has slept with Tom before… a hot new contractor in the sexy form of Brian Austin Green, who has definitely caught newly single Bree’s eye… Paul Young is back and married to a woman who married him when he was in prison… Susan & Mike lost all their money and are living in a small apartment, and Mike doesn’t know Susan is working for the building super as a porno housewife, by cleaning in her lingerie to earn extra money… and Carlos and Gabby found out one of their daughters was switched at birth and is not their biological child. Talk about a primetime soap!

On tonight’s episode, Susan finds out that some of her best moves are being copied by a competitor; Gabby hires a private detective to look into an important manner; Lynette is stunned by Tom’s doctor; Renee invites Bree to go clubbing and man-hunting. Don’t miss this exciting stuff tonight on ABC at 9/8c.
