If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/10/10

What a week it’s been with all of the holiday themed episodes of the shows we love! As the clock ticks down to Christmas day and New Years, and all of the celebration it all brings, we begin to wind down with the repeats. Never fear, tonight is a stack of all new episodes. When the repeats do come, be sure to indulge. You’ll remember all of the nostalgia from this fall season and fall in love with your new, and old, favorite shows all over again.

Lisa’s Choice

Supernatural fans have spoken and they made it happen. The show’s stars grace the cover of this week’s TV Guide as the first fan favorite chosen as the cover. Sam and Dean have cast a spell on fans since the introduction of the Wincester boys in season one of Supernatural. Finally, the show is getting the recognition that is very well deserved. What’s not to like when watching this show? The female fanbase has two scorching hot guys as eye candy, who are also incredibly talented, and there are supernatural storylines that will draw in any type of viewer (male, female, young, old) can really enjoy.

Tonight’s episode has Dean contacting Death in the hopes of getting Sam’s soul back, plus Sam asks Balthazar for a protective spell.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/3/10

All I can say is, it feels like a Monday, not a Friday. It’s been a really crappy day, and I’m sure some of that is because I haven’t slept yet, so I’m really exhausted. Anyway, I hope your Friday is going better than mine! 🙂

Jenny’s Choice

I’m so sad… Only two episodes to go of one of the funniest comedies on TV that people aren’t watching. Tonight is the next to last episode of The Good Guys, and while FOX hasn’t come right out and cancelled it, it’s almost a guaranteed thing now. Still, I don’t want to miss a minute, and you shouldn’t either! Bradley Whitford and Colin Hanks make a pair of perfectly good partners and comedy duo, with Hanks’s Jack as the straight man and Whitford’s Dan as the loveable goofball.

On tonight’s episode, a ruthless Internal affairs investigator re-opens a year-old case, hoping to put an end to Dan’s irregular police methods, but his actions lead to a gang’s release, and Dan and Jack have to track them down before they exact their revenge.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/19/10

TGIF! Hope you’ve all enjoyed having Mark (@TheAntiCritic) with us, because I know I have. Let’s see what we all think you should watch tonight.

Megan’s Choice

What’s better than a relaxing Friday night? A relaxing Friday evening spent watch the sexy Winchester brothers on Supernatural. Those boys are fine… yum. 😉 Also this season has had some fabulous story lines that are both humourous and intriguing.

On tonight’s episode, Dean is abducted from a crop circle while investigating a UFO sighting. He quickly discovers he isn’t dealing with aliens but rather with fairies. Sam searches for him and stumbles upon a world occupied by elves, gnomes and a leprechaun.

Tune into the CW tonight at 9/8c and for the fun of it, see if you can find Tinkerbell in the group of fairies. 😉 Learn where to find episodes online of Supernatural @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/12/10

It’s just three of us tonight. Lisa is really feeling poorly (keep her in your thoughts and cross your fingers her back starts feeling better ASAP!), so she’s taking the day off. We’ve had a great time with Jethro from Zap2It this week, and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading what he has to say. You can always catch him over on the other site if you did! I’m dealing with a sick kiddo (just a cold, but came home from school mid-day feeling worse), so the schedule will be up shortly, I promise! Right now, though, let’s see what we think you should be watching.

Jenny’s Choice

My recommendation tonight has got to be The Good Guys on FOX. If you haven’t been keeping up, Jack and Liz are back together, after she broke up with her douche-y lawyer of a boyfriend who turned out to be a not so great guy a couple of episodes back. Things between them are still tenous and new, but I love that they are back together!

On tonight’s episode, Jack and Liz leave town for a romantic weekend away, but the owner’s strange curiosity makes Jack suspicious; Dan learns of Jack’s investigation and rushes out to the bed and breakfast so that he can be a part of the action.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/5/10

It’s been a pretty good week, but even so, I’m ready for the weekend! Although I did just find out AT&T, who I get internet from, dropped the channels from Scripps, which include HGTV, Food Network & Cooking Channel. I’m VERY sad, and really hoping they come to an agreement quick! *grumbles* Lisa isn’t feeling well, so she isn’t posting tonight, but know that she recommends that you watch Blue Bloods, which is a fantastic show on CBS at 10/9c. Anyway, I want to thank Jason for his contribution this week. It’s been fun! Now let’s see what we recommend today!

Jenny’s Choice

My recommendation tonight is CSI: NY. I am loving that Sela Ward joined the cast. She’s been a great fit, and although I miss Melina Kanakaredes, I’ve loved Sela in everything I’ve ever seen her in, all the way back to Sisters. I love the chemistry of this cast. Danny and Lindsay are too cute together, without their marriage being so front and center that it detracts from the rest of the show. There’s humor, drama, and is just a lot of fun to watch, without being too heavy. Even in the most serious moments, I don’t feel like it drags on me.

On tonight’s episode, when a sniper is on the prowl on the rooftops of New York City, Mac is forced to remember the horrors of a brutal abduction case that possibly spawned one of the deadliest foes the CSI team has ever faced. They must find him before he kills again. Don’t miss it tonight on CBS at 9/8c. CSI: NY @ Clicker
