If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/20/12

Yay for finally feeling better after the mother of all colds. The whole family is healthy (*knocks on wood*), jobs are going well, and I get to meet an online friend in real life at the end of the month. All that AND there’s great new TV tonight? Fantastic! So read on to see what great stuff we think you should be watching tonight. 🙂

There was a lot on tonight, including some great comedies, but my pick had to go to Justified. This show has been ramping up this season. Winona is pregnant and decided she couldn’t handle being with Rayland. (I’ve never liked her, but this kind of pissed me off. Whatever.) The newest big bad, Neal McDonough’s Robert Quarles, is an evil son of a bitch (although he’s much more outwardly scary, unlike Margo Martindale’s Mags Bennett last season – that woman was quiet but deadly and would scare the crap out of me if I ever met her in real life). And you just can’t help but love Boyd Crowder. He’s so not a nice guy, but you just have to feel for him…like when he was arrested for something he hadn’t done. lol And when it looked like Ava was turning over the drug-addicted hooker, I was surprised, because I thought for sure she actually had a heart underneath all the crap…and then I was proven right when she shot Delroy instead of turning Ellie May over to him. And then, of course, we dealt with Raylan being set up for Gary’s murder (it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy, frankly, but whatever. LOL). So… yeah, I’ve been enjoying this show a lot this season.

On tonight’s episode, “Guy Walks Into a Bar,” Raylan struggles to keep Dickie Bennett in prison while contending with an increasingly violent and unpredictable Quarles. Boyd’s Harlan election comes to a head.

Check it out tonight on FX at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Justified @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Raising Hope, Cougar Town, 19 Kids & Counting, Breaking In, Chopped, Top Shot, & Unforgettable.

I’ll be honest… I haven’t seen last week’s NCIS: LA. Like the 2-part Castle episode, I put off watching part 1 of this show until part 2 airs tonight. I do know that Kensi Blye isn’t going anywhere, so I have faith that the writers will make the episodes great, as they always are. I’m hoping that through last week and this week, we find out more info on her father, and if Kensi and Deeks grow closer…well, that’s a damn good bonus. 😉

On tonight’s episode, “Blue, K., Part 2,” the NCIS: LA team continues to search for new evidence to prove Kensi Blye’s innocence after a private meeting involving her deceased father’s sniper unit turns deadly.

Check it out tonight on CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of NCIS: LA @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/7/12

How was everyone’s Monday? Did you enjoy all the great new TV? There were some excellent shows on, and I especially loved the CBS lineup of comedies and Hawaii Five-0 and the brilliant new episode of Castle. There’s tons of great TV on tonight, too, so check out what we think you should be watching!

Tonight is the 200th episode of NCIS, and they are pulling out all the stops to make it what should be a dramatic episode that long-time fans of the show will particularly enjoy. It’s been a month since the last episode, so what a way for this show to come back! Check out the impressive list of guest stars: Muse Watson (Mike Franks), Ralph Waite (Jackson Gibbs), Joe Spano (Agent Fornell), Darby Stanchfield (Shannon Gibbs), Michael O’Neill (former NCIS Special Agent Riley McCallister), Rudolf Martin (Ari Haswari), Sean Harmon (young Gibbs), Jeananne Goossen (Marine Private Joan Matteson), Sam Schuder (Kelly Gibbs), & Clare Carey (Ann Gibbs).

On tonight’s episode, “Life Before His Eyes,” during a routine stop for his morning coffee, Gibbs finds himself staring down the barrel of a gun, forcing him to question choices he has made in the past and present.

Keep tissues handy (I know I will!) when you watch it tonight on CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of NCIS @ Clicker.
